Max defensive mode? Lebron is a horrible defender, it doesnt say much. Tmac shot over him before, no reason he couldnt do it again.

Should have tooken a three though. Wouldnt get it blocked and would have won the game.

No Tony Parker's stinkiness was the force behind the comeback.

That kid Lebron has got some nerve to say that he got any of the ball on that play. He hit Tmac prolly 4 or 5 inches down his forearm.

I never really understood the refs' random refusal to call fouls when a guy is fouled on the arm on a jumpshot (unless it's dirk of course). We see it a lot with Yao. The refs treat it as a good defensive play if the defender is close enough to get arm on the release. On fadeaways for example. The offensive player is doing what he can to evade the reach of the defender, yet the ref won't call it if he gets hit. I say if a guy takes a more difficult shot to avoid getting blocked, the onus should be on the defender to not commit a stupid foul.

Tmac took a shot that Lebron was not physically able to stop. How is this situation different from other forms of foul-drawing? Lebron was overzealous, trying to block a shot that he was not capable of getting. He should have been penalized for it. Instead, he's rewarded with the no-call and gets the mvp trophy.

disrespectful? are you joking? oh yeah, tmac is silly to think he could get a shot over the great defensive mastermind LeBron James. total defensive stopper in lebron...

lebron is disrespectful for saying it was a great defensive play. if he got all ball, which he didn't, then it was great, but he fouled him first. hard enough to alter his shot even before he got ball.

TMAC IS KNOWN TO GET SHOTS OFF CLEAN LIKE THAT IN FRONT OF ANYONE. That's what that elevation is for. that's one of the big reasons he's hard to guard.

that shot would have probably dropped in too.

max defensive mode. lol. it's like something you turn on and off, like when you try or not. lebron fouled him, then swiped up at the ball. that's max bullsh*t defense mode. at least lebron admitted it.

btw why would you drive in on lebron? tmac's clutch is money most the time.

and dare i say lebron is more athletic than tmac (especially with the back)

wasn't a couple all stars ago when mcgrady was playing really well (not as well as this one), but the west pulled off the win and garnett won mvp? i saw that game on nba tv once and i thought mcgrady would win mvp for that game. anyways, i didn't get to see the game (had to work), but i do feel sorry for him. i think lebron is overated. king james?! who came up with that nick? even jordan is not called "king". i first tought king james was refrenced to james naismith!

i wonder if the foul was obvious? or the refs totally did not see it at all? or it was a tough call thing? if it was, then mcgrady should have been the favored one. he has seniority over lebron and he was the best player that day.

not only that, apparently LBJ is now 6'10".... Maybe he got Jon Barry taking him under his wings. He's now 21 and probably drank his rear end off and gained 2 inches this all-star weekend.

LeBron's overating probably got him that MVP trophy. Some critics get overhyped on him. He is somewhat overated. Especially with the clutch. HE has no leadership of clutchness. Wade hit the game winner, that kid is clutch.

Let's not turn someone's comments into a LeBron hating thread. James is a great player, and will only get better. T-Mac was fouled, and we were robbed of a potential overtime game. Eh, it's an allstar game, really not important.

The only argument here is who should have won the MVP, Lebron is a legit candidate, so was T-Mac. Oh well, what is done is done. I need to go to Vegas for the next one!

I have no clue. I caught a glimpse of Jon Barry on 610AM on ym way to work and he mentioned something about how he grew since he went to college.... Apparently, he drank away his first semester or so....

You must've missed the "Chosen 1" he has tattooed on his back, not to mention him demanding a million bucks for him to show up at the ASG Dunk Contest in his rookie year.

"Arrogant" is the word that comes to mind. But anyways, that's besides the point really.

Lebron fouled McGrady, and by his own admission in the post-game conference, he said that he "got the ball and his arm" (it's one or the other Lebron, not both, you hit him on his arm while he was shooting and that's why it was short).

Anyways, it's the ASG, no one cares. The noticeable thing though was that everyone was having fun out there except for Lebron, he had that PO'd look on his face the moment the game started. May be the league didn't want to pay him his million to show up at the ASG or something? Not sure.

Huh?! Lebron didn't go to college, in fact, he didn't even care about finishing high school, he wanted to be in the league following his junior year if I am not mistaken.

Wow, that kid is arrogant. Infact, he missed the dunk contest his first year because he was mad he wasnt on the all star team.

Does Tmac have ANY trophies. I know he has 2 all nba first teams and allstar games, scoring titles, but thats it?

Oh, me neither. I am not judging him here one way or the other, I was just correcting that poster's assertion that Lebron went to college.

    SMACK! Back to reality hahaha.

Yeah well I don't like LeBron, I don't hate him. The only thing that pisses me off is the way he said "I guess it was a great defensive play, I guess" in teh post game conference.

I do think lebron is extremely talented, and will be a force for the rest of his career, but i'd rather have my good ole T-Macccccccc.
