    i am a tmac fan but that's b/c he's my favorite player.

but i have followed the rockets ever since 94 when i came to america and thats the yr they won it all. so i have always follwoed the rockets starting w/ dream, drex, thorpe, smith, horry, maxwell, cassell...

but every guy has a favorite player. and tmac is my guy.

yao is an all-star. that's it. superstars are made in the playoffs. tmac may not have advanced, but he has generally dominated the playoffs.

yao hasn't. he has played "WORSE.' and yao did put up good stats. what frustrated me is his inability to take over when he was single covered.

everyone thought yao is our CLEAR advantage in this series. it turned int oa disadvantage as boozer killed him constantly.

i dont think his back will keep out a season like it did a yr ago. his back will get sore here and there, but not a major back spasm. so fans dont' have to worry about that.

the jazz were REALLY physical w/ him and yet game 7 was his strongest game. so i think his back is fine.

i believe THIS OFFSEASON will give him back some of the strength, athetlecism... that he missed sitting out last yr.

he came back to play this yr w/o any time to hone his skills b/c he sat on his butt b/c of the back.

I am absolutely tired of everyone killing Yao for the Boozer matchup. THINK. Yao has to cover for his teammates because they can't keep Williams in front. Yao has to show to allow them to catch up to Williams because Williams can finish at the rim. Williams passes to Boozer. Yao having helped doesn't have enough time to reach Boozer. Shot. THINK. Williams is who killed the team the whole series even though he only shot well for only two games.

agreed, luffy ur obviously a big yao ming fan, but admit that hes had a terrible series. admit it, will you? admit it? come on admit it...
we all know that tmac wanted to com eto houston badly cuz of yao, he thought yao would be the next shaq. if this was a hollywood movie, yao would step up BIG in the playoffs and finally HELP tmac get past the first round, wouldnt that be great?! but to be honest, yao's been pretty disappointing in the playoffs... and his stats are still decent tonight cuz of tmac (look at how many assists tmac had, and how many'hockey (indirect) assists' he gave yao...
so what's my point?? i dont really know, yes tmac should've drove at the end, but the defense was collapsing inside the paint to make sure that tmac cant get a layup(you think jerry sloan is stupid?)... and no one stepped up.. everyones disappointed, so i guess my point is STFU if you dunn owat ur talkin bout..
    that's all :)

See, I actually blame JVG for overplaying his starters......ALL year long the team was gassed and lost in the 4th quarter against quality opponents....nothing new here......

    JVG MUST GO !!

the fact that everytime tmac drives and falls everyone holds their breath not knowing if he can still get back up should be enough reason to trade him

he's slower, not the scorer that he was, more fragile, and does not have the stamina/heart/toughness to play past the first round

McGrady is not the reason the Rockets lost. He can't play power forward *and* play *both* guard spots *and* small forward.

Dont feel sorry for him for a minute! He does not care! He only cares because of the 0-6. Ask him how his "back" is!

Tmac did his best. The team did it's best. I blame this on JVG for not developing his other players and not having a good offensive game plan for the team.

Exactly!! Williams' penetration killed the Rockets' defense this whole series. The Rockets' D is predicated on keeping guys out of the paint and Deron ruined all of that. Yao got the worst end of it as a result.

T-Mac did everything he could ,everything a guy can do to win a series by himself. He was making jump-shots,driving to the basket, handing out assists, play d AND he had to run the offence and do Alston's job. There's one thing he forgot to do and that's what cost him, b**** slap VG and do his job too. Instead he led that no good - genius in throwing players in the doghouse and showing who's boss to them and not to the opponent coaches- into believing that he could win it all for him.
Fire jvg if you want players to become a team and not a bunch of guys all wearing the same jerseys.
By the way we can't blame Alston he did his best it just wasn't good enough. It seems everybody on this board knew that except the true genius JVG who ''really understands basketball''. WHAT A MORON FOR A COACH!!!

I used to watch Tracy McGrady play more often than not when he was here in Orlando, and I watched him lead the league in scoring twice. Both of those times he did not get out of the first round, and both times he was the best player on the floor by far. Needless to say, I felt really bad for him. The year after he led the league in scoring for the second time he came to Houston, and I was elated. I thought that this franchise could build a solid team around him and Yao, who by the way plays as hard as he can every time, and this year I saw that team. For the first time I felt a really strong hope that we could do something; especially when I saw Dallas lose in the first round, this was our chance. Of course he didn't get out of the first round again, and I can't say how disappointed I feel. I have always felt for the guy; like Yao, he plays every game as hard as he can. With that said he's not the player that he used to be, and it's kind of sad to see sometimes that he can't just take over how he used to. I know that there was a time when no one on the Jazz would have been able to contain him, and I know that he was the best player on the floor every time this series. I really believe that he still was, but I agree with some that we need someone else that can attack the basket next to him. If this team doesn't get that, I think that like someone else mentioned he'll be like Dominique Wilkins, or even Kobe after Shaq left. When I see some of these worthless posters on here it really makes me upset, and I hope that we see him in a Suns uniform next year just to spite those stupid posters. I hope that he does get traded, and I hope that he goes on to win the title that he deserves, so that among other things you can all realize how truly good he is at what he does. There are only a hand full of players that can decide if they want 10+ assists with 25 points, or 30
+ points and make it look effortless in this league, so stop blaming him. Finally, before anyone says something stupid, such as, "you followed him from Orlando," do yourself a favor and look at when I joined this board and then check to see when Tracy McGrady came to Houston.

i cant believe all the people dogging TMAC. i'm a rox fan, the man showed heart, he played his a$$ off. he's got too much responsibility. 1 man can only do so much. seriously, look at the other teams still in the playoffs, yes they have a great player, but look at the supporting cast with them. Without TMAC we're looking at 40 wins & no playoffs. We need a PG that plays smart, can shoot (like a billups) and we need a PF that can guard bigger PF's & has a little range. You guys (and girls) mocking TMAC, what the hell do you expect. He's human like all of you. Atleast he doesn't accept losing. Its not his freaking fault. Really, all of you that say he's not a man, he deserves it, he's got millions..etc, i think you are a bunch of freaking IDIOTS. Seriously, the guy is only human. Crying does not make you a pu$$y. Many have done it. I'm just glad he's showing he cares. The guy did it all for our team (admittedly his defense was poor.) but on offense, its ridiculous, theres just too much expected for him to do. NOONE ELSE CREATES ANY OFFENSE.

thats my post for the year, you guys hating on the guy can go jump off a cliff. (and get a life.)

    peace.

    T-Mac played well, I don't blame T-Mac.

Yao played OK. He has a tough offensive load and is guarding opponents best big guy the whole time. As the player he is right now, that's too much for him.

We just need a better point guard, at least a player who can dribble and shoot a mid range shot, and a good sized PF who can defend somebody.
