T-Mac did not give his all during the whole playoff series, it only appears that way due to his game 7 performance. Fact is, there were times in game 4,6 where he looked too damn passive and showed little heart. Let him cry all he want.

Up yours loser. Tracy could never work another day i his life but he still cared that much. I have more respect for him than ever. He was not perfect but he showed a lot of heart. I would rather have a guy like that than 99% of the guys in the league. We have some issues to work on but Tracy is really not one of the major ones.

    He makes mental lapses

But I think he just needs a coach that isnt afraid to constructivly criticize him

We'll be back. To Mcgrady, use all this as motivation and comeback stronger. He did all he can do, just need a better supporting cast

I agree!! Not to mention, is it too much to ask for the guy to freaking play hard in the other PLAYOFF games in utah and in the regular season too. He is a great player but a bad leader and not a true competitor. Carlos Boozer put his team on his back.

Boozer had help. he had a center who actually hit shots. he had a bench. he had a coach. tracy had none of that.

I can't believe some of you people. I went to the Game 7 yesterday, and I was in total depression. I was depressed that we lost but not in our team mates, especially Tracy McGrady.

This guy played with all his might. Sure he shoots questionable shots here and there, but what player doesnt? He's a rhythem player and his shot (when its on) is deadly. Since it wasn't dropping, he starting driving to the goal and he made things happen (scoring, free throws, and setting up other players) 29 points and 13 assists? What you gotta say about that? That's pretty damn good considering his teammates didnt do as good a job they should have done.

Let's not forget when Yao was out, what tracy did? He carried our team on his shoulders and played very well for us.

Tracy is NOT the blame for these series. Sure he deserves some blame but then so does everybody else. One person doesn't lose a series. a TEAM loses the series. Tracy, Yao, JVG, Head, Raef, Howard, Deke, and even Novak and Kill Bill (though they did not play at all) all lost b/c they are all part of the losing team. Tracy carried out and "tried his hardest"

Shame on all you haters. You do not deserve to be "CLUTCH FANS" If you're just going to sit here and hate, get the f**k out of here.

He was terrible in the 4th quarter in Game 6. That's when the Rockets should've closed out this series. They had 4 opportunities to take the lead and failed on all of them. And 3 of those possessions resulted in a bricked 3-pointer by McGrady and 2 turnovers by him.

I feel bad for T-Mac, but he deserves some blame for this series loss. He played passively during crucial stretches, particularly in Utah. If he's a true superstar and a true leader, he'll remember the bitterness of this loss and use it as motivation in every game next season and for the rest of his career.

The onus is on T-Mac(and Yao to a slightly lesser extent) to prove they're not soft and not losers. This team is only gonna go as far as they're able to take them. Adding a few pieces around them and getting a better fit for a head coach will help. But in the end, it's up to T-Mac and Yao. If they want it bad enough, they need to show it. That way next time they're crying at the end of the season, it's because they're hoisting the championship trophy.

I think Tmac paces himself to save energy when he needs it. He isn't as athletic and overpowering as he used to be. I watched every game in the 04-05 series against Dallas, and THAT Tmac was pretty amazing throughout and showed a lot of heart. This year's Tmac looks a lot older.

True there is no crying in sports, but it's actually a good indication of someone's heart and how much it means to them.

    Two great examples:

Anybody remember when TO caught that pass against the Packers where he was hit like a pinball and still held on. He burst into tears at that game winner and though not a good guy, became the superstar receiver he is that day.

I can't remember what year, but AI broke down and cried after losing in the first round. It hurt so bad for him to lose because it meant so much to him. The next year he took his team to the finals only to lose to the Lakers.

I say watch out for next year, TMAC won't ever want to feel this low again and I think he'll come out with a vengeance.

I love the team, it stinks that they lost, but I don't feel bad for McGrady. He put the onus on himself, and didn't follow through. No one on the team can walk away saying they held up their end and got let down by the rest. No one. McGrady can't keep using a dimmer switch on his determination or this will keep happening. Two years ago, we take the first two games from Dallas, need a split at home to pretty much ice it, and get embarrassed. Same situation here, same result. McGrady coasted and paid for it. Call me crazy, but I bet he wasn't in anyone's face putting a fire under them at halftimes.

That said, Yao has similar issues, but resting in his struggles to fight through physicality. He is getting better at it every game he plays, but he must reach the point where he understands that no one can be permitted to deny him. It's tough when the refs permit the mauling that took place this series, but he's got to rise above it.

There's blame all throughout the Toyota Center. There's no need to dwell on it. But there's also no call for sympathy. They should feel bad about this and they should be kicking themselves all summer.

    Evan
