    what's a kobe-like game? 50pts?

JVG would never let him shoot that much anyways b/c we have yao. u notice how we went to yao many times today when we try to make a run. tracy will never take 35 shots or something again. he's too much of a playmaker for that.

this offseason, we need these things to happen
    1) yao. he's the key and HAS to be our clear advantage every night. i mean he's 7'6. so he needs to go improve his strength to help him get deeper position. he has to improve his defense. so go work w/ ahkeem

    2) tmac. work on your jumper. the glaring weakness in his game. he can stil ldrive and do all the playmaking

    3) get a better PG. rafer has heart and i don't question his effort. but he's not a good shooter. we need shooters. get mike james back please. he would have fouled out deron already. if francis is willing to pass more and finish when tmac/yao are doubled, get him. he's a creator.

    4) get a shooting PF. hayes is a bench player. howard fits this team more but he's old and can't shoot consistently. he missed so many open shots. we need a guy like david west.

    5) new coach. JVG is a great defensive coach. but u need some offense too. u can't rely on tmac so much when u have yao. he just doesn't know that. he became too dependent on tmac to score, pass, rebound, and create. that's too much.

we're not gonna get all those things (a PG or PF, at least one of those pleas).

but our superstars can get better themselves, esp. yao. he took 2-3 steps back in this series. but let's see next yr.

we need to get a great seed. hopefully no one gets injured and we get near 60 wins to get a 2-3 seed.

but he sitll looked kinda chubby in this first month. plus he didn't hone his skills. his back injury basically didn't allow him to do much.

so that's why i'll judge him after next season (considering he stays relatively healthy). if patterson can contain his back problems, next few yrs should be his best yrs.

i only bash yao when he deserves it. can u think of another sueprstar being slowed down by single coverage and owned on D?

if that was MJ, i would bash him too.

why are people wanting to trade TMAC??? Even though he shot a poor percentage the whole series he is the only one who could do anything against the Jazz. The heartless games in Utah were the downfall of the team. If anyone were to blame the rockets loss it has to be solely on Yao Ming. How can someone that played soo well in the regular season play so poorly in the playoffs? I tell you scouting. Yao is too predictable in his moves and was getting owned over and over again by Okur. How many blocks did he have on Yao? I mean cmon on he is 6 inches shorter than him. I dont know if he understand this but if you keep getting your fade away jump shot blocked use a different move. He had single coverage the whole series and cant even score. And on defense Boozer was just abusing him over and over again. How many dunks did he have on Yao? It was just embarassing. He kept burning Yao time and time again on offensive rebounds especially towards the end of game 7 when Yao failed to secure two of Utahs misses. As for Tracy its inexcusable not abusing Derek Fisher inthe post. HES 6'2 your 6'6 if you cant take him off the dribble post him up. Im sure any other superstar in this league ala Kobe,Wade,or James would abuse him. There was this one play that sums up Mcgrady season and the Jazz lack of respect for his jump shot. He was standing at the 3pt i forgot what quarter it was and the did not even run out to him. the just ran back to Yao expecting the pass or trying to rebound his brick. He hesitated and seemed like he didnt even want to take the shot and ended up shooting a flat out brick. He seriously needs to work on his jump shot in the offseason WHAT HAPPENED TO IT. Pure and simple GAYFER ALSTON is the worst point guard in the NBA. Is it just me or does anyone else cringe everytime he shoots the ball? These arent contested shots he IS WIDEOPEN. It is inexcusable for a player in the NBA not to hit a open shot on a consistence basis. He can not hold any big guard in the NBA. I have seen him time and time get burnt by Deron Williams or any other point guard in the NBA. I for one hope VAN DUMMY gets fired. He did not do anything that Rudy T couldnt do with a lesser squad and he got fired. His stubborness well eventually be his downfall. I mean if he would have gave Bonzi more minutes towards the end of the season instead of putting in on the IRL maybe he would have contributed more. Imagine if we had bonzi tmac and yao on the court or atleast of the bench. He would litteraly abuse Harpring instead of having to rely on Luther head. His decision of sticking and defending GAYFER Alston when he should have developed other players. His lack of creativity on the ofensive side. How many series will he be outcoached? And what happened to our #1 defense in the league? In playoffs it is suppose to be harder for teams to get shots like us against Utah. But they simple shot over 50% with ease on the Rockets. I was sad today and I dont know if i can stomach watching the Rockets again. The always you bring you up really high only to dissapoint you in the end again. I've been feeling that way ever since Utah beat us in game 7 ten years ago. Im sad because Yao Ming will never be a superstar I just reply that airball he shot over and over again when the game is tied using the same turn aournd fade away over and over again. It sad because we are stuck with him and theres no way the organization is gonna trade him away. Im sad because Tmac is a shell of his former self. I sometimes go on Youtube and check out his Orlando highlights. At the team there was no one in the league at scoring and he dunk on people at will. I know everyone can see he lost his explosivness and first step. I mean if he played at the level he did in Orlando this series will be over. His overall mental state is weak and I hope he recovers from this lose and work his tail of in the offseason. As for helping our bench there is no way to really upgrade it. We are forever cursed with JHO contract!!!!!

Tough break for your guys. This will either make T-Mac stronger or he revert back to the same attitude he had in Orlando and hope a new team can help him shake of the deamon that have plagued his career. I hope it makes him stronger.

What makes this so sad is that Lebron James is the only true super mega star left in the playoffs with McGrady out which leads me to believe that teams built like the Pistons and Spurs last longer than teams like the Rockets, Nuggets and Lakers with the two Super star model.

I have one question for you. Why do you reason McGrady's ineffectiveness with his jumper yet you don't do the same for Yao? You are far from fair and quite frankly very bias. You consider the effect of McGrady's back injury yet you don't consider Yao not being 100%.

Dallas is a pretty damn good shooting team, yet they were clamped down by the zone.

Yao is at fault. As much as I hate to say it, despite me screaming my lungs out watching the game, there was a part of me that didn't want the rockets to win the series. I knew that if we made past the first round, we would be some what complacent again. Now that reality has hit us in the face, we need to make hard decisions. We shall see what happens this post season, with Morey at the helm and a new coach coming in. I'm willing to be patient for a few more years. It takes a lot to build a championship team. Hakeem didn't win one until he was 32 or so, so our window of opportunity is still there.

    Go rockets!

Wow, maybe he should have cried earlier in the series (like AK-47) maybe we would be moving on.

if u read my previous post, i blame tmac's pathetic jumper too. that's his weakness right now. he can't make them consistently.

and u can blame yao's knee, but how is yao's knee gonna help him get better position? and didn't yao get better and better as the reg. season ended? and didn't he dominate one reg season game v. the jazz.

again, it's AGAINST SINGLE COVERAGE. that was what pissed me off. if yao was doubled constantly or a lot like tmac did, then fine. but he had TONS of space to operate after game 2.

tmac's jumper this yr was inconsistent as they come. a few weeks he's hot, then the next fw eeks he's off. that's a rhythm thing. he didn't practice the last offseason and came into this yr out of shape. his weight ballooned to 240 lbs he said.

This post rests my case. It's sad really. You reason with McGrady (I think this reason is valid by the way) but don't consider Yao's knee. How is Yao's knee going to keep him from getting better position? HE BROKE A WEIGHT BEARING BONE. Teams push harder in the playoffs and get away with alot more.

notice how yao played better in this game after he hurt his knee a lil?

and also, yao looked better and as good as he was pre-injury as the reg. season ended, w/ 30+ pts in a row and dominating people.

but maybe that's b/c teams can key on yao and watch him for a whole playoff series to learn his tendencies.

coincidence. i can't say the smae for someone smacking tmac's back.

There's nothing worse than debating with someone who doesn't want to see. If you can't acknowledge that Yao was far from 100% and that hurt his effectiveness then I have nothing more to say to you.

Lol. Kobe-like. In the last 3 years, Kobe and his Kobe-like games (aka jack up shot after shot after shot) have a playoff record of 4-8. Tmac and the Rockets have a record of 6-8. Yeah, big f---ing differance. If anything, this should tell you thats its not "Kobe-like" games that win. Its having a TEAM with differant weapons and multiple scorers. It takes 5.

I always support TMac, but I wish he reduces some kinds of talking. Today he is talking about how great JVG is, and want JVG to return the team. I do not know why he has to say that.

What is he supposed to say?? He said the right thing, the classy thing. 10 minutes after the most devastating loss of his career and he is going to go out there and talk about firing coaches????
