I agree, he needs more high picks - if possible almost everytime down the floor. Watch the Suns and you'll see Nash getting screens by Amare and Diaw left right and centre (sometimes even in the back court!) and you'll realize how effective McGrady can be if he was given the same...

No matter what will happen in the rest of the two or three games, girly man tmac is not the answer for Rockets.

have you been watching the games? we've been outplayed the 3 of the 4 games in this series. game 1, 3, and 4...we didn't play so great in game 2 either. i could even argue getting outplayed in game 2 also.

I would like it if every single one of you who posted, T-Mac is a choker, to be band from the board after he carries us to a game five victory.

yes i've been watching the games, all games.yeah i know we've been outplayed but i don't throw the towel yet.does that mean that you quit on the team?does that mean that you believe we will certainly lose even though we are 2-2?what are you trying to say?i believe in them till the end.you don't that's fine with me because i don't care.as bad as the rockets are playing,i still believe in them, even if we lose game 5 i will still believe in them until utah get 4 wins.do they have 4 wins yet?if not then i still believe in the rockets.you don't that's fine with me.

    You guys are kidding right?

The reason it works with the Suns is that the guy who sets the pick is a threat and teams have to honor the roller.

On the Rockets, outside of Yao (who is too slow to really take advantage) the Picker/rollers are Juwan and Hayes....and neither one is a threat and the Jazz just ignore them.

Maybe put Battier as the screener, for the screen and roll to work you need two competent offensive players, not just one.

i have no reason to believe in the team. they have shown me very little...we cant rebound. our bench has not shown up...we have no answer for dwill, booz, and okur....tmac has got to show up for every game. if tmac does not go off in game 1. we're down 3-1 or it's a sweep

Is it only my perception? During the 1st quarter Rafer played all out w/ the most heart, going for every steal, he was driving succesfully, and knocking down 3's. After a few minutes I think it inspired Tmac who seemed to play a gear higher and was also really aggressive. Clearly this high level of play didn't last long though. It reminds me of the Sura days when Tmac and everyone else felt we needed that 'bulldog mentality' type of player who would push everyone else to run.

I think T-Mac had a good 1st half (13 points 4/10 FG) But you know what happens in the 3rd quater. They made a quick 13-4 run and than T-Mac and Rockets stopped.

Hows this for a possible perspective on TMACS mentality?

Hows this for a possible perspective on TMACS mentality?

I have been doing alot of thinking about TMAC, and his personality on the court and his attitude.

This is a guy that has SUPERSTAR talent, one of the best in the league right now, but has always been surrounded by mediocre players.

He knows the spotlight is on him, he knows he is the jesus of the team, all the players look up to him, and they trust him...its all about TMAC. Tracy LOVES that feeling of control..he knows no matter what happens if they win or lose, its never his fault WHY, because " I am the only good one on this team"

He loves the fact he has so much talent, but is and has been always centered around subpar player's so in the back of his head...he just doesn't understand the team concept. Maybe he is thinking, why the **** should I go out ther to bust my balls, because when I get rest on the bench my own teamates won't be able keep the boat floating? He has shown flashes of leadership during the regular season, and now is the time, where he embraces where HIS TEAM is, and what they have going for them..because who knows what will happen next season, the TIME IS NOW TMAC. its a team effort have faith and play a whole 48 minutes of the game, and trust and beleive in this organization.

Yep, and it looked like he gave up just down 5 points at the end of the half.

Battier must become more involved on offense. He has been pretty efficient when he takes it to the hole or dribbles into a mid-range jumper. He just rarely ever does it. They are keying on T-Mac so hard that it takes him out of the games. We need Battier to step up and be that third scorer to take the pressure off of T-Mac.

T-Mac and the Rockets gave up since the 3rd quater. Than you cannot win when you are downy by 20

That was completely pathetic. He should be stepping up and leading this team, not walking the ball up the floor with 5 seconds left in the half.

You know, you could say a lot of things about Steve Francis, but that definitely wasn't one of them. You always knew that he cared.
