Congratulations Yao hater, you find a pair of perfect shoes. But still I persuade you not to wear it so often, no matter how well it fits you.
actually, supporting someone from the same country from you when that's the reason you are support them is in fact nationalism. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. I mean, that's what people do at the olympics afterall. The problem people have isn't with nationalism, at least i don't. I think it's great Houston gets millions of new fans because of guys like Scola and Yao. What the issue is when some of these fans care more about the success of their idol even at the expense of the team or other players - and become over sensitive to criticism of that player and/or retaliate by attacking the other popular player. Anyway, whatever, this is getting kinda dumb, in fact, the mods should lock this thread up before it gets out of control. I'm done posting here. Go Rockets!
No sh**. Labeling is for the weak, over-sensitive, and self-righteous. I thought this was a basketball forum to talk about everything to do with the team regardless of success?
But the moron Superstar (or jonhty or whatever lame names he could come up with) tried to make it out like supporting a player from the same country is a form of national fanatism. This fool obviously has his lame personal agenda to post here.
I don't. McGrady hasn't looked explosive for a long while, so I don't see why any of us should expect him to be that way in a fourth quarter against the defense they were sending at him. Of course, he could have tried to take more long jumpers, as he's done successfully in the last few weeks before this homestand. But even when those went in, people were criticizing him for taking those shots and not getting his teammates involved. Essentially, he's in a no-win situation right now with regards to his offense.
Look as someone who has season tickets right behind the rockets bench and is a pretty avid tmac supporter and stays out of all the yof toh crap that is propagated on this board I have to unequivocally say that I have never been as disappointed or frustrated with tmac as a rocket as i was tonight during the 4th quarter. Don't know if the tv broadcast adequately conveyed tracy's fear of artest and reluctance to shoot on offense. His entire body language throughout the 4th quarter was of a whipped dog. The most frustrating play of the entire game was when we were up one and artest came down and hit a turnaround jump shot on tmac in the lane which tmac did not even bother to challenge. Artest gave him a little bump and tmac just gave up on the play. Those of you with dvr go back and check it, the play with 40 secs left that them up, your star guard just conceding a basket without even bothering to put a hand up to contest it with 30 secs left. Absolutely inexcusable!
^^^^ I agree. That play was sad. I seriously thought T-Mac could've at least made a token effort to contest that shot. Regardless. I still have faith and still have hope. But it's ziplip until T-Mac gets out of the first round.
This discussion is irrelevant. I seriously doubt the Rockets have the balls to trade Tracy before giving this team one last look in the playoffs. A first round exit almost certainly results in a major shake up, but a deep run will probably keep the core intact for another season. That's the way it looks to me, at least.
After watching the fourth quarter a second time, there were a couple instance where I think Tracy could have and should have been more aggressive getting into the defense. The Rockets are just not a very good passing team in general, in my opinion, and sometimes they take too long to get into their offense. They were just out of sync most of that quarter. T-Mac didn't do a good job creating openings for his teammates off the PnR or penetration, so that's on him. I thought Novak hesitated on a couple possessions on taking the shot that was presented to him. And the Rockets screwed up multiple possessions trying to get Yao the ball in the post. Numerous defensive breakdowns. Just a bad quarter all around, but thankfully Novak hit that final shot.
NO doubt T-mac is not a competitor like Nash, Baron Davis and Ginobili. He played so SOFT today and except the Ast he did nothing in the last quarter. ~However, The 8 straight wins, this is the gteat importance for Rockets.
This is the one thing I don't get about some Rockets fans how can you hate or bash on a player that plays for your favorite team. I mean even Kwame Brown didn't get this much hate/bashing in LA.
Last four years,we were conditioned to that T-MAC took over the offense in the 4th quarter.especially in the tough time.It seems that he didn't want to do the same thing last night, that make us dumb in the 4th quarter. But his bad D was the very thing depressed me,he let his man shoot easily, even didn't do any disturbance. I think his offense in the 4th quarter was a exception last night, that will be better sooner or later. As for his defense...... everybody knows,no need to talk more.
Not threadworthy at all. Why don't you just post in one of the other 14 Tmac threads? Is your opinion threadworthy? Nope I was in the 5th row and Artest was killing everybody. Battier was no better on him, neither was the Chuckwagon. Artest is a matchup nightmare. He is too strong for smaller guys to guard and too fast for bigger guys to guard. I only noticed one play towards the end where TMac didn't put a hand up after a bump
1. how many years TMAC has played in this league, and how many years Yao? 2. during his career, how many seasons is TMAC taken as the first option in Magic or Rockets, and how many seasons for Yao.
