Right....like T-Mac never had a bad game before...like a star player on any other NBA team never had a bad shooting night. This is what you should be concerned about instead of individual efforts: 2/13 vs. Sac W 89-87 2/11 vs. Por W 95-83 2/9 vs. Atl W 108-89 2/7 vs. Cle W 92-77 2/4 @ Min W 92-86 2/2 @ Mil W 91-83 2/1 @ Ind W 106-103 1/29 vs. GS W 111-107 1/27 vs. Uta L 89-97 1/25 @ Por W 89-79 See all those W's? I'm sure T-Mac in more ways than one had something to do with it.
Wow dude again. Did you watch Bullard's analysis of the play after the game? Tmac had Rafer in the corner, Yao underneath but double teamed, and Battier in the other corner in his line of sight. Novak was completely out of the play and not even in Tmac's peripheral vision. Yet Tmac still somehow found him. Bullard said "I don't even know how tmac found Novak for that shot". That was not a "simple dish" that any player can make. Or even just any All-star caliber player can make.
somehow my criticism of tmac's 4th quarter today translated to 'this team is better off without tmac' to you. clearly tmac helps this team win, or 'had something to do with it' (an obvious and simple statement you could apply to any rocket who played in any game during our win-streak). but you're being blissfully ignorant if you think the kind of games he's been putting up will suffice against elite teams. wins don't blind me to the fact that he's not playing nearly as well as he could, and we're going to need him playing better to really make some noise.
Tmac is not in shape yet. He hasn't practiced with the team and he hasn't played more than 30 minutes a game until tonight. Even on nights he played a lot of minutes, he has been pacing himself. Rick Adelman said tonight that the only way he'll get in shape is by playing big game minutes.
My simple statement was obvious sarcasm buddy! Plus the "kind of games" he's been putting up has helped us continue this winning streak! "wins don't blind me to the fact that he's not playing nearly as well as he could, and we're going to need him playing better to really make some noise." Sure, he could be playing better but we are obviously winning at this point of the season. It's refreshing to know that we can still win games without one of our star guards having to carry this team to victory. 8 game winning streak, so far, we are making some noise.
we get it - you hate t-mac. why do you want to bring everyone else down. I propose we create a seperate area of the BBS called "Vent on players" Then the GARM can actually be used for discussion and not these stupid thread.
Hey you, the notorious Yao hater, listen, I don't hate tmac, I am just frustrated his lousy performance these days. Got it hater?
Artest and Tmac day and night in the 4th. Be specific? Do you see fire from Tmac when Artest was tearing us apart. Nash would be licking his fingers and toes if that were happened to the Suns. Baron would be dancing, kicking, hip-hoping his way to the hoop if there were to happen to the Warriors. Kobe would be just bury his head charging to the basket and knock out a few on his away. Manu would be do all he can, flopping 10 times until he stops Artest. Need I go on? Do you see that from Tmac. He is supposed to be the Nashes, Kobes, of this team. Now, ok, he was double teamed, he was playing smart, blah, blah, but when your teammates fail to put the ball into the basket, what do you do? Be a kobe wanna be for once.
All I know is what I saw in tonights game and that is that even with TMac playing at around 60% he made a hell of pass to Novak for the game winning three. Nuff said. I really I am wishing that Morey brings in MM to spell TMac and give him the much needed rest to get his knee 100%.
