What do they think of Weisbrod? From here, we get the impression that he drove McGrady off because he thought McGrady was lazy and selfish, and a cancer on the team.

Well, when the Magic got off to that good start everybody started slamming Mac and hailed Weisbrod as the savior. All along I maintained that this guy knew nothing about running a professional bball franchise.
Since the Mobley trade, even the Media is changing their tune. They're saying that Weisbrod has made questionable trades. I haven't seen a Me-Mac article in two months.
For all Houston fans, the Me-Mac thing started by this guy called Mike Bianchi who doesn't even follow the Magic around. It's not even close to reality. It's a false perception. The reason T-Mac took most of the shots in Orlando, was because he was asked to. He was never selfish. He's a really good guy with unbelievable talent. Doc Rivers said that T-Mac was never selfish, he just didn't have the help year after year (see Grat Hill with a bum ankle) and he got frustrated after the fourth year. Magic fans wish they had T-MAC now

On ESPN2, there's the Pacers-Lakers game, and they just went to a break and Greg, Tim and the boys talked a little about the TMac interview and said it's DEFINATELY something you want to stick around for.

They're showing it at halftime, and there's only 1:30 left in the 2nd quarter.

The whole interview, by the way, will air on Sunday, so this was just a small appetizer.

I've been reading the Orlando Sentinel online ever since the trade so I can keep up with SF. Mike Bianchi is one of the most arrogant columnists I've ever read. I'm not surprised he is the one who came up with "Me-Mac". I believe every newspaper needs at least one columnist who needles a team on occassion to keep things on edge some. But it is so obvious that Bianchi's goal is 95% ego trip and 5% enlightenment that I can't see how people put up with him in Orlando.

The Orlando media's track record has been pretty consistent. Former Orlando superstars: Shaq, Penny, TMac...Steve?

His goal is probably to parlay his big ego into getting an ESPN gig like a lot of those other hacks.

Well, you guys have Bianchi, I don't like Lopez from the Chronicle.

Soo, these mindless homers are everywhere. I would much rather have objective journalism than pure crap meant to make the fans feel good about themselves and paint a pretty picture of the local team when it struggles.

Reality is the best dose of medicine for the fans, it serves them well in the long run.

You couldn't be more right. You know how some newspapers are today. They're in it for the gossip rather than professional journalism.

Wow, ESPN is now PBS; they understandably bleeped out *******, but now they even bleep out "pissed" and a few weeks ago they bleeped out "sucks" from another interview. This is CABLE. This is SPORTS. BFD!

Man, I tell ya, gotta fear that FCC!

The FCC can't do crap about cable, since it is a "payed for" service, and not general public air waves.

I heard O'Reilly saying that once. I think it is true.
