Yeah, rest him. It is much more important to keep Tracy healthy than winning one or two games. I hope he will recover soon.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/recap?gid=2004110910 By JOEL ANDERSON, AP Sports Writer November 10, 2004 HOUSTON (AP) -- Tracy McGrady limped out of the arena with a sore right hip and groin Tuesday night, and his new teammates were more than a little worried. Not Juwan Howard. He got used to the sight of a hobbled McGrady last year in Orlando. Howard responded with 20 points, Yao Ming added 14 points and 11 rebounds, and the Houston Rockets kept Memphis winless this season, beatin... Woww...it certainly doesnt sound good. :(
Are you kidding me....... Just when we get the good news of getting Sura back, and Yao playing without his Robo arm soon, Tmac goes down.. And apparently this didn't happen tonight, it has been nagging since last week. It just got aggravated tonight. Aw ****.
This sucks. I'm going to the game against the Timberwolves too. I havent been to a rockets game since 99. Just my luck.
We will find out by tomorrow if he is going to play or not...i personally think he is going to be in the lineup if it was just a minor thing cuase im sure he wants to get past that "weak" perception he has or injury prone then tried to tag him with in Orlando when he had back problems.
keep the perception I would rather he be 90~100% when he plays than him PLAYING THROUGH the pain and being 80% for the rest of the season Rocket River
He doesn't need to push anything, we have 77 games left, lets make sure he is there for most of them. BTW, its BOKI TIME!
Boki looked pretty good out there last night for the little time he had the ball. He would get a hand in the shooters face most of the time, and tried to create his shot 2-3 times in the game. One was a nice drive and shot off the glass in the first half I think. In the 4th quarter he got the ball and tried to post up and missed, but it was cool seeing him finally get some play time. I think he ended up with a few boards and like 5 points. Yes, I'm pro-Boki. I'm Miguel Molina and I approve of this post.
If T-Mac does not play, it will be Yao Time, and the team will go as far as he tries. If I remember correctly, Yao had one real chance last year (Superbowl time), and he played poorly. I hope that T-Mac take care of his body first, and Yao will have some time to develop his confidence leading the team.
I was wondering how MJ did it for 7 seasons (playing at least 78 games a season from 86 to 93, after the only major injury he had during his second year), he was the scoring champ back then and everyone was trying to hammer him, i mean, to stop him from scoring... but he's still staying healthy most of the time... t-mac needs to get stronger... anyway, GO BOKI! i can see that he got more fire in him after the rox refused to pick up his 4th year option... and for t-mac, hope that it's not a serious one and won't miss too many games...
