wow way to sound appreciative. I think you have to learn to think (or lurk a little longer so you know who's who around here.) before you open your trap.
Take it easy. The guy actually joined the cite at the same time as you and have more posts. His comments is not that offensive, not as much as yours at least.
What's wrong with my question? Maybe you should simply not open your own trap at all, thinking or not.
You should know as well as the rest of us do that the amount of posts someone has means absolutely nothing. Some people know when to read and not write, and that probably shows their maturity and brains, not lack there of.
From the article on the Rockets site.... http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/Post_Practice_110505-156336-822.html The big news of the day was Tracy McGrady being helped from the practice court after sustaining what was later called back spasms. ... None of the players seemed too concerned over the absence of McGrady, who apparently just came down awkwardly after a dunk. Quotes (On McGrady going down at the end of practice): Derek Anderson: “It’s a long season. We got a lot of guys in here and hopefully he’ll be back soon. It looked bad, whatever it was.” Yao Ming: “He’s our guy. No one wants to see him go down. It scared people. It scared me.” Jeff Van Gundy “He went up, he dunked the ball, he came down. I didn’t see much contact, if any. I don’t know too much right know. I can’t play doctor. It’s another unfortunate break this year as it pertains to injuries, so we’re hopeful.”
http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/3439904 Back spasms latest worry for McGrady From staff reports Tracy McGrady will be a game-time decision for Saturday night's game against the Hornets after the Rockets forward left today's practice early because of back spasms. This latest setback adds to McGrady's injuries woes who was troubled by a balky left knee in Houston's season-opening 98-89 victory over Sacramento on Wednesday night. McGrady finished with 23 points in the opener.
I sure hope it's not serious, but with two injuries, TMac will be forced to take a break for awhile and come back when he's fully healthy, instead of playing through the pain and never getting fully healthy.
If I'm reading the article below correctly, TMac doesn't like to sit out as long as he did in the preseason, because he loses some game conditioning with that much downtime. So, his approach was to play through the knee pain rather than sit out longer and then have to spend a few games playing back into shape. http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/rox/3435225
I can understand he's trying to set an example for the new guys and show he's committed to play through pain and all that, but this is freakin' T-Mac, he doesn't need to prove anything, we already know what he can do and what he's about (even AI called him a warrior). T-Mac, if you're reading this or if one of the insiders knows you, just take everyone's advise and get healthy and don't rush back, don't worry about perceptions and what people might think, you're way above that by now.
This is the correct approach when a player has injuries that aren't serious and won't impaire them further without rest. Tendonitis falls into that category. It flared up very late in the season last year, and with no rest, T-Mac was a lion against the lambs in the playoffs. If T-Mac continues playing, it's obvious the doctors have determined there isn't much risk of additional injury by playing through it. If they can keep his minutes down to 30-35 instead of pushing him to the limit at 40-45 over the next few games, it's all good. That is, if the pain allows him to suit up.
just sit him out the next couple of games and let him recover. i'm sure he'll be fine, but just sit him down and let him rest some.
We need TMac to be as healthy as possible this season, if that means he sits out some early games, then so be it. His knees looked for worrisome the first game, and to add back spasms to it, he needs to get healthy. With the Hornets and Magic the next 2 games, Yao and crew should be able to hold things off.
for us to avoid the spurs in the 2nd round, wouldn't that mean we'd have to be in the bottom bracket, i.e., #2, #7, #3, or #6? even if we're not #4 but instead make #5, we'd still face them [assuming they're the top seed].
Yeah. I read somewhere that he said he will retire around 2010. It is quite possible given his injuries history. That's probably part of the reason he wanted to win so bad. Time is running out.
