The ENTIRE team played horribly tonight on the defensive side of the ball. Our rotations were terrible, not to mention DA just looked lost out there on the defensive side of the ball. Unless your going to critique the entire defense, stop picking on one player to get your laughs in. You "Anti" Tracy fans are just as bad as the "Tracy only" fans.
It's not ****ty defense. It's ****ty defensive effort. David Andersen generally plays ****ty defense, but he gives an effort. McGrady on the other hand, gives no effort.

I agree that t-mac most of the times is lazy on defense, but come on, it wasnt that bad in his 7 min against the magic, and in terms of effort it has improved since last year. the point is, this is a similar thread to a ariza should be traded after a bad game.
Man for real, atleast there are some that understand the EFFORT part with McGrady and just don't look at his offensive stat sheet or highlights at the end of games.

Everyone is screaming that Houston is holding him out...and we should man up and play him. Then we play him, but 8 minutes isn't enough. Now, he's not playing shut-down defense in his 6th game back. 3rd Qtr was generally Ariza taking stupid shots. That can be addressed. Ariza trying to score more is something he's trying for the first time this year. Tracy McGrady's ****ty defensive effort is chronic. It was there back in the 21-win Magic season. It hid for a while when Van Gundy pushed and prodded him. But it's been back for the last few years. People used to say he couldn't play hard on D cuz he had to carry O. Fine. what about now? Saving his energy for the 4 minutes worth of offensive possessions?
