TMac is adjusting to Rox motion offence. With his talent I'm sure once he get passed this hurdle his shooting touch would be back. By playoff time, the simple double- or triple-guarding 111 game plan, which worked wonderfully in previous years, would become opposing teams' poison when dealing with the "all-cylinders kicking" offense of the Rox. I'm prepared to enjoy teams being "tortured" come playoff time.
tmac is my fav on this team so in no way am i bashing tmac for this quote. he simply gained my respect for owning up to his suckiness the past few games. sure he's not fully healthy and this and that..., but tmac has never been like this. it's never too late for tmac to mature. we might be seeing a different tmac once he gets over this hurdle.
I really respect Tmac for admitting his poor play of late. Its not until you start denying reality when you really begin to "suck." Now that Tmac admits his shortcomings, he can focus on correcting them. He's definitely good; add hard work to that and he'll be unstoppable.
The reason I'm curious about the origin of this quote is because it looks like there's a typo or something. I'm guess that was supposed to say it's great to have the pressure OFF you, not ON you.
I am glad he admits it, but it is bad when he is highly critical of himself...remember all the retirement talk and how Yao was the star of the team and T-mac was just a role player? He played like crap during that stretch, and didn't come alive until Yao went down and he had to resume control. Confidence is numero uno for Mac. It is nice he now has confidence in his teammates, but to get anywhere he needs to have confidence in himself.
i hope i am wrong, but i really think tmac has "lost it" just like how hakeem lost alot of his game due to injuries.... and his scoring and production level sharply decreased... hopefully it is just a slump... but... from what ive heard, he's only avging 11.4 points since he came back from that injury? he is still making a powerful impact on the game with his passing and court vision so he is still a threat... but offensively, i think he is finished.... he may have occasional 25-30 points, but his days of doing that consistently are over... again, i hope i am wrong..
What was it Feigen said? "Typically moody McGrady"? Seriously, I wonder sometimes if the guy isn't a little bit bipolar. He's still been doing an excellent job of setting up his teammates and dishing out assists, so it's not time to panic, yet. That would be the Hornets game...
It is actually a good thing for him. Start to work on his jumpers, work on his FTs, that will ultimately benefit himself and the team. He has the talent, but he needs to practice harder to be more consistent.
u don't lose that within a span of months. tmac was as dominant as ever to start the year. his injuries really mess up his rhythm/conditioning/body. when he gets that back, it's all gravy. and he has to adjust to playing on less touches. u saw tonight he had 7ft attempts. when he gets that consistently, we'll know he's back.
That's nice and all, but in the end T-mac is here for his scoring ability, and if that does not get closer back to what it was to start off the season we will be in for yet another 1st round exit.
When has he not been honest? Really, I thought the consensus was the guy seemed almost TOO candid sometimes. The problem is that what he says he's going to do doesn't always line up with what he actually ends up doing.
holy **** thats exactly how i interpreted it. Its one thing to own up, but when you see him repeatedly cursing at himself, that just means he has frustrated and has lost confidence in himself. Which is not a good sign of things to come.
His first 6 games back from the injury he averaged 25/7a/5r/1s on 45% shooting - just the 5 games after that have been bad. No one knows why.
Don't flatter yourself. You're just another moron who should read more and post less. Don't be surprised if you keep getting slapped down like a little b**** if you persist in acting like one. You bore me.
