We don't need to tank, we stink already. Without Tmac we are officially now playing for the top pick in the draft.

Wow. The Texans and potentially the Rockets could have the top picks in the draft. At least the Astros made it to the Series.

He just need a good massage on the back. Any hot massage parlour in Houston area. Patrick must know one or two!

    Oriental medicine is required.

I once had simultaneous cramps in the front and back of the same thigh. I couldn't move for what felt like forever. Shudder.

I'm guessing a back spasm would be worse -- from your description, it would be like having all the muscles in your back knot up simultaneously, combined with shooting pains in the rest of the body as if you had pinched nerves as well. That's just a guess though, and I really hope I never experience it. Can't breathe? Ugh!

You just need to apply hot towel (squeeze dry) on your back repeatedly. The towel must be hot, like a little bit over the thredhold you can bear. Adding some herb in the hot water also helps. Relax the muscle and you will be fine.

You apparently have never had back pain from muscle spasms. The pain can subside almost instantly.

In TMac's case, the irritant will remain so you might as well get used to this.

Anyone know what his surgery options are? Seems like they could fix a disk in the off-season w/o bothering his game, yet he made it sound like he'd always have this problem.

I just got back from the game and i must say that when he went down (or when people began to notice he was laying on the ground crippled over) the entire arena went silent and most people stood up in disbelief. It almost looked like a player was shot and laying dead with about 10 people surrounding him, it seemed that scary. I noticed sura and anderson standing by him and as the paramedics and a stretcher came out it seemed the entire arena let out a groan. i was hoping he would give a fist or raise his finger or motion to the crowd as they cheered him on but his head was laying back on the stretcher and he was immobilized. truly a scary sight i hope everything will be ok with him healthwise this season is almost unbelievable in a terrible way. :(

well there are some pretty kickass procedures they're experimenting with out there.

    like spine replacement surgery.

My understanding also, so I don't know why TMac made it sound untreatable.

I'm really worried about Tracy's back. I remember him saying something about having a structural problem in his back that simply can not be fixed. Does that mean that he'll always have these back spams for the rest of his career. If that's the case, it's time to start thinking about rebuilding this team.

Since you don't appear to be a troll, maybe you didn't realize how bad that would sound.

I guess I have to be more careful in how I express myself. I wanted and still want to thank you for answering a question that had been nagging me for a long time. Sorry for the confusion.

I hope you are right about T-Mac's spasms being possibly less severe than yours were. I wish him quick relief from the pain, and a quick recovery.

He said he would just have to deal w/ it.

As for rebuilding, not yet. We need to get and KEEP this team healthy and have other reliable scorers so TMac isn't playing 40 every night.
