the reason i say that is b/c i don't see much pick and roll when yao was out. that's their go-to play. that was what iw as glad to see.

no question yao made it tough for boozer to shoot the ball, but let's be serious, whenever yao is on the floor, he will be put through the pick and roll every time. and deron had a decent game b/c of that.

T-Mac sets so much of the tone for this team its crazy. T-mac shoots 0-6 and we're down 9. He catches fire, goes 7-8 and we're up 6. T-Mac was a huge part of the reason we won, our suffocating defense was another, oh yeah and that dude playing the 5 position sort of led us in rebounding and points. But that was unimportant.

You should regret starting this thread. The title of thread IMO is inflammatory and unnecessary. I think this is without question a game that TMAC willed his team to victory. I love the whole team, but outside of TMAC and Yao, the rest of the team struggled and TMAC literally carried the Rockets in the 3d quarter.

Outside of TMAC and Yao, the rest of the Rox only scored a combined 33 points! If the Rox get better balance from the rest of the starters and the bench, they will easily take this series.

What is with the posters trying to drive a wedge between TMAC and Yao's contribution to the team?

I was actually more concerned with Shane's defense.. I thought he could do a little better.

Yao and Tmac did their part.

Please, Besides PnR on YAO, Jazz got other weapon... They can pick Alston as well.
Actual I saw pretty much Jazz had pnr all night long. Iremember When YAO out, they had several high post PnR and got open, but just couldnt deliever.

But I do agree with you: Jazz PnR is heavy for YAO..

"We played a good game for the most part, but didn't hit shots down the stretch," Williams said. "They made a nice run and we seemed to hang our heads a little bit. . . . We can play a lot better and we know we can beat them." we know we can beat them. ??????? Is the lil *** cocky or what....

after reading that quote I hope Rockets really demolished these fools 2 morrow... LETS GO ROCKETS!!!!

It was a team win, the defense and the TEAM won the game for the Rockets. T got hot AND the TEAM got stops.

People do give credit to Yao, he's as consistent as consistent gets. But the T-Mac imposed his will the second half and people will gush about that. But just because people are praising T, does not mean they are taking credit away from Yao.

    7.1 apg (good estimate)

his best overall month of 29.9, 5.7, 7.1 was when yao was out the most of it so he still scores and pass.
