Let's not make the Rockets the Texans... This small ball will not work in the playoffs. Anyone can steal a game here or there in a series but it won't work over the long haul.

We need T-mac to bring some swagger. Every wolfpack needs a leader. T-mac can lead this team; believe it or not.

Tmac doesn't play big, nor does he lead, he doesn't take this team any further in the playoffs than they would get with the guys on the floor tonight.

T-mac doesn't have leadership, he has leader****.

He is the lone wolf in his wolfpack

I disagree..playing your heart out is not equal to leadership.. I'm a t-mac fan. but i dont they he doesnt have leadership qualities.. he is/was just a good player. thats all.

if thats the case.. every rocket on the current team is a leader.

On the offensive end, maybe, for three quarters.

    Everyone repeat after me...

    It's over.*

*I dare you to prove me wrong T-Mac. But if you can't, I'll ask you to STAY AWAY from the current team's chemistry.

    McGrady humbled

As stunned and appreciative as Tracy McGrady was to find himself on pace to start the All-Star game despite not playing at all this season, he said he will go only if he is playing like an All Star at the time.

“If I'm back before, let's say, January, I have a month and a half to go out and play (before the All-Star game),” McGrady said. “Hopefully, I'm playing at an All-Star-caliber level. If I wasn't playing at an All-Star-caliber level, I won't play. I think my fans will understand that. But if I'm back playing at an All-Star-caliber level, even if it is just for a month or two, I'd play because I think I owe it to them.”

Although McGrady was second up until the last balloting last season, he said he was surprised to have received so much support this season despite not playing.

“I was humbled to know that after what I've been through the last year, I still have that many supporters,” McGrady said. “The fans out there — it's just gratifying and humbling to know you have all these great guards in the West, and I haven't played a game. I'm speechless, really.”

T-mac is too soft spoken to ever be a leader. He can be a star, but it has to be within the flow of the new team dynamic.

I am not going to say that the way we are playing now is superior to the T-mac and Yao ways of playing a few years back particularly under JVG. I think JVG played a very smart game for the crappy role players we had. And I do believe that if you put these guys on that team that lost to Dallas and Utah, we'd easily have advanced to the 2nd round.

However; today the team is different. It's not just the current style of play is working for these guys (I think JVG's style would get us to the same record although the games would look a lot uglier). It's that the whole team is bonding around this type of play.

T-mac has to blend in...because he's not good enough to dictate things to his terms.

And T-mac can't make up for the loss of Yao.

However; I think if T-mac stays away from contrversy and shows maturity, he will indeed have finally bought into what the rest of the team buys into...and I think that will bring him to the 2nd round...more than anythiing else.

Who cares if T-Mac is soft spoken. There are other ways to be a leader. His game does the talking. You don't have to yell or get technical to be a leader.

T-Mac can't make up for the lost of Yao??? Are you serious. Where have you been the last couple of seasons. It doesn't matter if its McGrady or Yao out the team still does good with one of them in the line-up.

Well, now that they are both out, the team is built to need only ONE of them back.

And that one is the 7'6" hard working center, not the 6'9" crybaby.

If you think this team needs only 1 of them back then your blinded by your love for the Rockets because with only one of them this team still can't do it all. They honestly need both of them back.

Since the 7'6 hard working center won't play in all 82+ games this year i guess we are just going to have to settle for our 6'8 guy who turns it on when games matter.

Yeah, like that stellar playoff record of games that matter....

    "it's on me"

"it feels good to finally be out of the first round"

"Coach should have had Deke in there" (even though he tipped the ball away from Landry).

Tracy needs a fresh start on a team that he can just blend in as a role player, that would be great for him and the Rockets.

YYYAAAAAWWWWWNNNNNN same o same o with all you "Rockets lovers". So i guess RA was at fault also since he agreed that he should have put someone in there with size.

I guess it does feel good to be out the 1st round since he actually has been out the 1st round.

Yeah it is on him why because it seems like after McGrady and Yao no one else wants to step up.
