Just rest him up until the playoffs......Get healthy Tmac. We are a turnover machine without you.

TMAC is a DIVA, and he is too spoiled.

I wonder if he is bailing coach out to give him an excuse to get Bonzi back in the rotation after they have sucked in the last game?

Ugh..T-mac's career is starting to resemble Grant Hill's career more and more now...genius player plagued by injury..perhaps Grant Hill passed the curse onto T-mac.

Honestly, if we can, trade Paul Pierce for T-mac..

Ok, I just watched the first 7 minutes, it sure didn't look like Tmac had anything wrong with him other than his lack of effort.

He was loafing out there, walking up the court, making bad passes, playing without energy and passion.

I think he got benched......and more importantly it looked like he deserved it.

He may indeed have some stiffness, but it sure looked like he just didn't want to play tonight.

yeah "rockets fan" he has really floated around so much ... he left toronto as a free agent and they were crushed that he didn't re-sign with them and he demanded a trade out of orlando. it's not like he has a lengthy list of teams that were dying to get rid of him. what nonsense.

tmac CAN play through a tight back. he did that v. the hornets in the playoff series. so truly he is "healthy" to play if he wanted to. so keith was right saying that. but if he plays, he's just gonna shoot jumpshots.

b/c how can u explain him driving constantly v. the lakers and shooting all day v. the jazz?

he can play through the tight back, but it'll be jumpers only. if he can play, he is essentialy "fine".

i think keith was answering about back problems that would force tmac to miss games (back spasms)

this will be my only post about this game i am really upset, not at JVG but at tmac.

it starts with the jazz game the quote before the game had tmac saying something along the lines that it was an important game and that they were going to come out and bring it. so what does he do with derek fisher on him the majority of the game? he settles for jumpers all night long and makes 2 bad plays at the end, one passing the ball to rafer (KYP-know your personell,) and then passing out of that 3. This game he comes out and takes two lazy jumpers (he also took one wide open three i dont fault him on that) and seem lethargic.

but then what infuriated me was seeing him on the bench smiling and laughing along with jl3. your team is down, the coach is trying to tell you something and thats how you react??

listen I LOVE tmac he has brought this rockets team to a level i didnt think possible this year after yao went down. he can be one of the best if not the best player in the game every single night when he chooses to be, but thats the problem its always "when he chooses to be" the playoffs are right around the corner the rockets have let through their hands their one chance at home court advantage. WE HAVENT WON A PLAYOFF SERIES IN 10 YEARS so yeah i am more than just a bit miffed. I remember crying the night when we lost to the jazz 10 years ago, i remember going to class in 9th grade the next day having to put up with all the people teasing me that the rockets were crap and me saying "just watch we'll be back and get to the finals" 10 years later i am still waiting for the rockets to take the next step.

watching this game tonight I am worrying that the jazz series will go 7 games with the 7th game in utah and the jazz winning by a narrow margin and getting a huge boost from their home crowd. by the time then its took late to look back on these past two games tmac and realize that you let it slip through your fingers another playoff series.

If the rockets do not get past the first round this year I will have to come to the stark reality that even though tmac is one of the most gifted players in the league that we will not win with him as the primary swingman next to yao. we will not be able to trade him either, we will have to let him play out the remainder of his contract and hopefully sign someone via the FA market to get back to the standard set by Hakeem, clyde, sam, mad max and crew.

Yao is doing his part, and for some reason despite the struggles recently by our bench/role players I believe that they will step up (honestly I have a feeling about it that they will play well)

it rests on your shoulder tmac this is by far the best chance you have had to take your team past the first round, the most complete team you have had, the most talent you have had surrounding and it doesnt seem that you appreciate any bit of it.

its depressing I cant think of a single premiere player in this league that is on a contending team that would be joking around the bench with the scrubs when the team is down and he was just bench by the coach to make a point about intensity.

the team is not imploding, its not the end of the world but if JVG does not give tmac more than an earful behind closed doors I will be very upset.

It's not one game, it's ever since T-mac was traded to the Rockets. No one is hating on T-mac right now, we're mostly just disappointed at his injuries I guess.

dude he won't miss many games. if this was the playoffs, he will play through this (he did that in orlando w/ tight backs before).

this again tells me its not BACK SPASMS. as long as he doesn't have that, he can still have a 4-5 yr career after this.

    i totally agree with you.
    no energy
    no passion
......it doesnt look like his back is bothering him. when they called the 20 sec timeout is when he first started holding his back...did he quit? was he faking it? i dont think so, but only tmac would know

maybe it's because his back was bothering him. I know it sounds crazy, but when your lower back is hurting you run slower, walk when you can and it affects your play.

Now that is interesting, didn't Tmac lobby to get Bonzi back in the flow at the beginning of the year?

Maybe he is trying to force the team to play Bonzi....who knows.

Either way...locked into a 5 seed, just rest him.

T-Mac is incapable of lying?????? And I was implying that T-Mac is trying to protect his own image, so what you just said is consistent with my claim.

The way some of you mindless defend him at such a critical juncture of the season is mindboggling. We pretty much just garaunteed Utah their homecourt advantage. I don't care if his back is stiff or not, he should of just gotten it treated and come back immediately. Why the hell did he sit on the bench smiling until half-time? Why didn't he run straight to the locker room and get his evaluated? Think about it, it makes no sense whatsoever.

Doesnt sound crazy at all. It would also explain his poor outings lately.....If it were up to me he wouldnt see the floor again until playoff time.
