So are you saying you think he was taken out because he was hurting or that he might have been faking so JVG took him out?

this is what i don't understand. vg is all about winning, but tonight, vspan is in in the first half, and clearly the mentality has somehow changed?

wasn't this the same guy who wrote the league about opening the draft to everyone so teams don't mail it in?

but tmac and yao basically didn't play. :D

i think we can handle utah. they just don't have a guy we should really fear or double. as long as tmac is healthy, we're good. b/c obviously they can't stop yao.

if yao plays 35 mins, he should be ready to kill them in the 4th also :D

The coach is smart enough to know that by playing him with a stiff back he'll turn a possible 1 game injury, into a season ending one.smart coaching. unlike someother fans here.

I think it was more a lack of effort than anything. I believe he may have a slightly stiff back, but I think he was benched for not playing hard.

He took off the warmups ready to go back in but "JVG never gave him the nod"

To me that says it all right there.

GSWs are fighting for a legitimate 8th playoff spot and fought hard.

What is Portland trying to do? Make the playoffs

to be precautionary with tmac is fine, but what i find strange is seeing span out there, when was the last time this guy saw some meanigful minutes?

So whomever wins the poll is right?

Pointless thread, since the Rockets have already said it's back stiffness and they didn't want to risk it.

You can choose to create your own conspiracy theories if it will make you feel better, though. I know we have a bunch of aspiring Sherlock Holmes on here.

To me it says that we (maybe he) decided that resting him is more important than having him injure his back and miss playoff games

I guess JVG got confused between V-Mac and T-Mac.

Hey man V-Span didn't do so bad out there. I guess he needed SOMEBODY to play. He brought out Lucas and Span in the same game that wasn't a blowout? Wow.

It is not too far-fetched that the Rockets could be entertaining offers for Tmac in the off season if they don't make out of 1st round this time.

Faking may have been a little harsh on my part but I do agree, I think he was benched for not playing hard.
