We need to keep this momemntum rolling into the playoffs. Plus, we don't need to give them any confidence against us going into the first game. Play Tmac and yao limited minutes but keep the game competitive. Avery Johnson and D'antoni are doing it even though they have clinched their respective spots. If we want to be mentioned in the same breath as them we need to play like them. Also refer back to JVGs comments to the media about quality of play going into the playoffs...is not just about HCA.

Oh yeah, this is somewhat of a misleading thread title btw

TMac and Yao don't make the trip if it is my decision. I start Novak, Synder, VSpan, JIII, and the big ugly guy. I sub Head, Howard, and Rafer sparingly.

Toyota center atmosphere was awsome. All the fan were loud. I feel sorry for the guy that sat in front of me he might be deaf when he gets home. I was thrill my heart was pumping hard at the last 3 minutes of the game. Thanks the Lord for the Rockets win. Sweet dream Rockets fan we will go all the way this year. This is the Year of the Yao & Tracy.

Rafer needs a break just as badly since we don't really have a reserve PG, as bad as Rafer is. These three should not fly to Utah just to make it a real HCA, waiting for the Jazz in the house.

i'm not a huge JVG supporter but if you've been watching or listening ... the Rockets will play to win.

not sure why anyone would wanna give the Spazz an easier game days before the fatal match up?

Any chance that JVG will take himself out of the game too?

The logical thing to do would be to play all scrubs, and tell them to get real phyical against all of the Jazz regulars and try to hurt them.

It's not the ethical thing, but it's rational if you want to beat them in the playoffs.

When asked about whether he will rest the starters in the postgame press, JVG said when he has time to think about it, he will make a decision that is best for the team. At least he didn't flat out "We approach every game the same way" stuff.

You must not know JVG. He would play Yao and Tmac even they were playing against a high school team

JVG isn't going to play TMac and if he does, he'll play TMac in limited minutes. No point in risking TMac's back.

As for Yao, I wouldn't be surprised if he put Yao in a bit just to help Yao with his stamina.

But yeah, he should really play the bench to give the bench play time. You never know if we have to pull guys off the bench.
