Agree! *Note* Tracy did play the motion offense in the 2nd to the last play. He ran off the Battier's pick, and had a wide open 3! (But... he airballed it)
Tmac is better at the motion offense that TruWarier btw, have you thought about changing your tag? I mean, it could really set you up. Just tryin' to help you out.
Problem is Artest missed so many WIDE open 3s tonight. I can recall at least 4 possessions where Artest had wide open 3sm that's 12 points.
Tracy and ron refuse to run the offense. It's on morey and adelman to get the point across or just forget about advancing in the playoffs this year
That's what's so frustrating about this! -> Artest has played under Adelman before in Sacramento for several years. Artest KNOWS what Adelman wants in the motion offense by now. -> TMac has played under Adelman for a year and a half now, including last year's playoffs. There is no excuse for either of them. They did everything opposite of a proper motion offense tonight.
You mean "T-Macfreeze" and "Ron Cardiac Arrest"? Both can iso an otherwise clicking offense into oblivion.
Trying to weather the storm of clueless newbies in the GARM is near impossible now. It's not surprising at all that the majority of regular posters here have just packed up and left.
You're right. The point I was making is that he shouldn't be taking the off balance, contested 3s or trying to go 1-on-3. He did both of those things way too often tonight. Add in the missed "good shots" and it was a recipe for disaster.
T-mac sucks in the motion offense. He never makes a extra pass the only time he passes the ball is when they double him on the pick and rolls. Other than that he holds the ball he dribbles and sucks all the life out the game.
Artest jacking up 2 shots in the final minutes is the reason the Knicks won this game. Artest strength is NOT jacking up shots. He's supposed to bully his way inside to draw fouls...THAT IS his strength. Someone needs to slap this guy in the head so he realize that.
Artest can hit the catch-and-shoot three when his feet are set. The problem is somebody needs to sit him down, show him game tape and explain that these off-balanced leaners are demonstrably inefficient. They are the kind of shots I would feel stupid for taking in practice, let alone a game.
Wen Artest muscles his way in,good things usually happen, it's not like he is a finesse player who doesn't like contact (lol Tmac). I wonder if coming off the injury is making him hesitant.
I've been saying this for a while now DD, but I would rather trade Artest for a shooter because Tracys contract expires in 2010 and will give us more flexibility. Also, there is no way Artest resigns with us next off season, he just doesn't fit the system. I would love to trade Artest for a good shooter ala Mike Miller or someone else. Name me some good fits for us.
Now who has been saying since before they acquired him that Artest doesn't fit? Trade him....one ball stopper on the team at one time please. DD
