You know the sad part, and the same that im glad about now is that he had a thing that worked for him in ORL, and for some reason the Rockets never got him the VAX-D treatment until now. Im sure it has something to do with his confidence as well as the rest and healing he recieved with his treatment. BTW, Deckard, how many of those folks were pro athletes that you came across?
Hope noone has posted this before. I can't create a topic so here is the interview which Tmac was with SportsRadio 610 http://www.sportsradio610.com/Article.asp?id=93926 Some interesting quotes: Tmac: (The NBA finals) seems rigged
This is an excellent point. Continuing the rehab work even when feeling good is critical. The spinal muscles provide ALOT of support and when they fatigue the chance for reinjury goes up. Interestingly there have been some high level gymnists that have competed with farily serious injuries because the muscles supporting the injured area were in such tremendous shape.
guys, feeling 100% doesn't neccesarily mean its 100% healed. I am sure T-mac will feel some pain next season and have to rest a few games. Lets hope those few games he will miss are less than 10.
be afraid... BE VERY AFRAID!! i do hope TMAC's back problems are behind him, cause if they are... we will ****ING DOMINATE!
T-Mac is a product...he needs to sell the team and himself...saying that he might have back problems will only hurt his own pocket book as well ticket/jersey sales. He has an incentive to lie. You could tell from the last two seasons he is not the McGrady that Orlando got to see…the guy we have is a player who is more perimeter oriented. Hopefully he can stay healthy and Yao can play like he did towards the end of last season.
He is fine, he just got undercut the day before last season and it affected his back all year. He is TMAC BACK !!! DD
Well Yao wasnt really stretchered off in the middle of a game for a serious injury....Thats jus that the image that has lasted in my mind.....The thought of mcgrady's back triggers that image...Its sure hard to believe that his back will be hundred percent next season...
what i am not sure about is that everyone keeps worrying about his back., yet has there every been anything disclosed (or undisclosed) that proves this is a structural and/or degenerative problem? Plus, wasnt the majority of the problem last year stem from him trying to come back too early? I know he's had spasms before, but spasms can be managed and precautions can be taken (e.g. core strengthening). A lot of players have had trouble with spasms to only resolve them and be fine. I am also thinking that some people are using that last year in orlando as their resource for thinking that the back is 'bad'. But i thought that he also missed games due to tendonitis in his knees. i admit im worried that tmac will have similar problems again but how much of my worries stem from hearing other people worrywith no real, valid reason?
FFFFFFFF----FREAKING GREAT NEWS! Just hat I wanted to hear considering the second of our top two players...
I don't believe this at all. McGrady isn't trying to sell tickets. He has his money, regardless of if he plays, or not. I think he honestly feels 100%, and boy, how I hope he's right!
You sound like a tinman. But I agree with you. If Juwan could only take a little more load off Yao and TMac, those 2 guys wouldn't have had big chance to injure.
