Here is what they want Schaub to do, Donny... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/dA4YwFCddIA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I've always been a schaub guy but what about the play where he actually acted like he was going to snap the ball to get the defense to show and the line backer runs up and shows blitz he snaps the ball and hands off to Arian and goes to same hole linebacker gets the tackle. I don't think it was a stretch or zone play either
tired argument, schaub is slow, noodley arm, cared biitch.. whats tired.. yesterday you were ready to hop off the schaub wagon now you want to prop this loser up. im starting to think you just join conversations for the sake of arguing.. you just want to have a different opinion than everyone else.. noodle arm, denver air, match made in heaven..
It's called being objective. You should try it sometime. Just because I want to replace Schaub does not mean I have to make up stupid bullcrap to come to that conclusion or fluff TJ Yates in the process.
I don't know what some expect. Yates has been a "project" catapulted due to multiple injuries and BS personnel decisions.
objectivity had me believing the hype 4 years in a row. i believed that he was "good enough" to win. i believed this was the best trio since aikman/smith/irvin.. im tired of being objective. schaub is not a winner, sticking with him because "there is no one better thats available" is not going to make us superbowl winners.. done with this bum..
At this point, after Schaub . . .he maybe all we got Him or Keenan Schuab has . . .at best 2 more years. . .maybe 3 I don't expect 35 yr old schaub to be as good as he is now Rocket River
This is the difference between a winning organization or a coach that doesn't play into the loyalty game and take chances in order to improve the team. We have neither. San Fran went from a QB that was pretty good at doing what he does and had led his team to the playoffs and was at the top of their division, but was replaced with a rookie. Kapernak ( however its spelled) is not a better decision maker than Alex Smith or accurate passer for tat matter, but he make plays in other ways and give his team a better chance at winning. lets nor forget that the move was not liked by many and was questioned. And at times it looked like it was the wrong move, but it panned out. And I think this is the same situation the Texans are in. Yates is not going to make better decisions or more accurate passes, but he will extend plays and can throw the long ball. He also can run a little which the defense would have to account for. San Fran was pegged for a Superbowl apperance and still took a chance to give the team a better shot. They didn't say kapernak was better but he brought a different element to the offense.
Look... I'm firmly in the, "Schaub looked every bit like he shrunk from the big moment" crowd, OK? Having said that... I mean, is one year of being in that moment really a fair evaluation? And I'm not asking in order to ultimately excuse Schaub - I'm just really curious. A lot of us were told September and October games ultimately don't matter; that games against inferior competition don't matter... Are we really going to give him all of six December/January games and draw a definitive conclusion? Again, it's very possible that the Texans *should* do that; his (potential) maturation is crashing into an urgency to win before this paticular window closes. I just... it seems like a much-too small sample size.
That's not being objective. That's called being an emotionally-driven fan. And FYI, you're doing it now too with your unabashed criticism of Schaub. Everybody agrees that it seems like the chances of winning with him are looking pretty bleak right now, but there are enough flaws in his game to where you don't have to go off the deep-end with some other stuff that's clearly not true.
I find it funny you say that in a T J YATES THREAD!! Considering he has playing in about that many games IN HIS CAREER!!!!! and people are dismissing him. You want us to give Schuab a break . . . why not give T J one as well. Rocket River
This. They are quick to point out TJ's shortcomings, but make excuses for Schaub. All I can say is TJ can get better, but after so many yrs and many games Schaub seems to be going in the opposite direction. He is who he is. Mobility, playmaking, and extending plays are not in him.
the biggest thing wrong with yates is schaub's contract. I think the word comes from way on high not to give competition to number one. It was the same thing with the last regime. Its funny how actual stats make you look at yates a little closer. I wouldnt have even brought matty suspect arm back.
Agreed The lack of competition at the QB spot is ridiculous This is an organ that seems to beleive The biggest contract starts Sage should have started over Carr alot. . but it was never and option never to be thought about Now . . . no one will ever really challege Matt Matt has his contract so he will get his money Matt will start . . . and that is simply that. The lack of competition makes him too laid back and no sense of urgency Rocket River
