Looks like TJ passed out in mid air....man I hope he's ok. It's always scary when a player gets hit in mid air, a slight bump can send you flying in any direction.
I dunno. I have Ford on my team also. But am trying to trade for Calderon. Sucks that Ford had to get another injury like this. I like Ford, he's one of my favorite players.

It is on ESPN.com on the ESPN motion module. What was Horford thinking? He wasn't even close to hitting the ball. Horford snapped TJ's neck back the way he hit him, and TJ's neck snapped again when he hit the ground. He should be suspended.

man, i cringed when i saw the video. personally, i think Horford should get suspended. even if there wasn't an injury, that was a wicked foul. prayers go out to TJ Ford.
I just saw the replay on Sports Center. That was a cheap shot by Horford. You cannot tell me the guy could not see that he was 3 feet short of blocking the shot and accidentally delivered an open handed "pie face" to a guy half his size who was already in the air. That kid needs to be disciplined for that sh#t.
Havent seen the vid yet, I hope Horford didnt do this on purpose cuz its going to be a dark cloud over him for a long time, plus he's a rookie. Ford already missed a season before, and just came back from injury this season....lots of sore nerves esp. in toronto

Ford's teammates said the Toronto Raptors guard was moving before he was taken off the court on a stretcher following a scary fall late in Tuesday night's 100-88 victory over the Atlanta Hawks. Ford, who missed the 2004-05 season with Milwaukee following neck surgery, stole the ball and was headed toward a breakaway basket when Atlanta rookie Al Horford hit his face with his hand. Ford landed hard on his back, his head bouncing off the floor. "After a while I could see him moving and that was a relief," Toronto's Chris Bosh said, adding there was immediate concern about Ford because everyone knew his injury history. "It turns my stomach because of who it is," Bosh said. "Like I say, we know about his situation and everything. "He was conscious. He wasn't trying to move too much. I'm sure he was feeling pain in his arms and legs. I just hope he's OK." Raptors spokesman Jim LaBumbard confirmed Ford "had feeling in his upper and lower extremities when he was taken off the floor." Ford was taken to Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. ESPN.com's John Hollinger reports that while the Raptors are flying back to Toronto for Wednesday's game against Dallas, assistant trainer Rory Mullin and director of basketball operations Marc Eversley are staying in Atlanta to be with Ford. LaBumbard said it was expected Ford would remain at the hospital through the night. Former NBA player, coach and Ford workout coach John Lucas told ESPN.com that he spoke with Ford's girlfriend, Candace Dixon, Tuesday night and that she told Lucas that Ford had feeling in his arms and legs and did have range of motion. Lucas said Dixon told him they were awaiting results of a CAT scan and that Ford didn't lose consciousness. Toronto coach Sam Mitchell reacted with immediate anger to the hard foul and had a brief exchange of words with Atlanta coach Mike Woodson. "We're just concerned about T.J.," Mitchell said. "There's not much more to say. We've just got to wait and see." Horford insisted he did not try to injure Ford, who had 26 points. "Definitely not. I'm not a dirty player," Horford said. I think he should retire to I can barely look at the replay knowing his history of spinal injuries. It is so scary. We all know you can do it Tj but maybe its time to go in another direction. Spinal injuries are nothing to play with.
I thought Horford was a class act. I just lost some respect for him. I hope he learns from this ejection and hopefully a suspension.
Man that's brutal. I hope he'll be ok. I wonder if injuring his neck twice will change the way he plays the game, assuming he'll come back. I know I'd be scared to drive in and such.
