Ugh, I could never take another sip of McCormick vodka in my life. That stuff is just lighter fluid in a plastic bottle.

Usually when I'm drinking stuff like Shustoff at home, I just drink it on the rocks with a squeeze of lime or in a martini. I've tried that before with the cheaper brands, there is an obvious difference. If I'm drinking a mixer like Vodka 7's or Cape Cods, then I'll usually get something like Sky.

I'm with Donny though on the tequila. Sure Patron goes down a little smoother to me than something like Cuervo, but I still think it's all pretty evil. I think I just got sick on tequila one too many times a few years ago, and that ruined me for life.

There is definitely a difference between vodkas. Crap vodka makes me feel like I have an ulcer. When I drink vodka, it's usually a martini, so the vodka had better be good. I usually drink Ketel One, but I have tried Tito's and it is very smooth and tasty.

yep! tito's is good! i bought a bottle and brought it with me for good luck to the rose bowl a few mths ago. still have some left.

besides vodka tho, i'm a tequila girl. most ppl that have gotten sick off of it never drink it again but for some reason, it hasn't ruined me yet.

ahh...nothing like talking abt alcohol on a monday morning. :D

For those of you that can't "tell the difference in vodka's" get ripped on your favorite or current vodka then on another day, get ripped on Tito's... then tell me how you feel the day after....

With Tito's I can get ripped and wake up the next day, no hangover, ready to go again!!

Tito's is distilled 6 times and Mr. Beveridge can actually taste and filter out the bad alcohols... this is the difference between Tito's and other vodkas!! With the bad alcohols distilled out, there is virtually no hangover the next day!!

This is why I drink Tito's.

McCormack's whiskey and two cokes at the game. $12.50

Not having to buy $7 beers. Priceless.

I always take a flask with me whenever I go to pro sports games now. $7 a pop for freaking Miller Lite is criminal.

Now, let's play "guess the contents of Rockhead's refrigerator"

    I'm thinking

    1 jar of mustard
1 jar of pickles with one pickle floating around in it
paper plate with one slice of pizza (can't waste valuable fridge space with an empty pizza box)
    six pack of Natty Light
something wrapped in aluminum foil that's been there since the Reagan Administration

Try mixing in a little water (not with your vodka mind you).

    People gotta stay hydrated. :D

I happened to see folks selling Tito's at a lefty farmer's market. Even though I don't drink hard liquor, I was tempted to buy just because it was made in Texas. As a matter of fact, having no more than one sip of vodka many years ago (Absolut), Tito's is now my favorite.

I can only guess what someone named rockHEAD would be hoping for. :)

I mean merely a farmer's market where people sell microscopic amounts of organic produce on a bi-monthly basis, as opposed to the politically-neutral farmer's market, like the one in the Heights, where farmers try to make a living selling regular local produce.

so if you sell or eat organic you are considered left wing? (lefty)

An interest in local and/or organic food is generally considered left-wing, yes. As is an interest in non-exploitative international distributors (for coffee and similar crops), which were also present. Not sure why you want to be offended; I was present at the lefty farmer's market in the first place, so it wasn't like I was looking to get in a pot-shot at them. I was just letting folks know the sort of event it was where they were selling Tito's. Lefty is merely descriptive.

I went into the local liquor store up here in Pa. today and actually found Tito's Vodka. Didn't think they would have it. I love Vodka and have tried just about all the brands listed in this thread. Booth's Vodka was the strongest I have ever had, but that was years ago. I dont' think Booth's even makes Vodka anymore.

weird how even something as simple as food has to be classified as left or right wing... why is our society so polarized? :(

That "lefty farmer's market" could describe the one in front of Monica Pope's Tafia. Just in case you want to go. It's at Alabama just inside the Louisiana spur, across from the breakfast klub. Can't remember what day - Saturdays or Sundays? Anyway, there's a big banner outside Tafia. It's boutique herbs and organic vegetables.

Not a bad way to start the morning. I like fresh produce. Kind of pricy, though. I got no problem with Exxon vegetables, or China vegetables. Feed the world.

Vodka is a lovely thing. A tito's cold and neat is good. Kind of like Belevedere. Also had the Van Gogh sampler pack. Van Gogh vodka was good neat - but there were also the little bottles of the flavored varieties. Had always kept away from that. I have to say the tiny flavored vodka bottles were good coming right from the freezer. I'm going to try infusing some dark chocolate or vanilla or peppers or lime or apple in Tito's for my own.
