You wouldn't have been in the super bowl without him? how hard is it to catch a forward pass. :D

All the Titans fans know it was not a forward pass. It was a lateral!!! Love that Music City Miracle!!! Definately one of the best football plays ever!!!

After the last couple of Titans related threads. I find it amusing seeing the same Titans bashers posting in the Titans threads.

What I love even more is continuing to see Titans threads being posted. Just keeping winning (one game at a time)!!!!

I hope it keeps getting colder and windier. To me that just works into the Titans favor. The Patriots have relyed all year on their passing game. I want them to have to rely on their running game. I think the weather is going to make passing very difficult for both teams. I am confident that the Titans can stop the Patriots running game.

This game is going to come down to kicking (punting/field goals), special teams and turnovers. Just look at Vinataris stats this year. They are not very good.

This game is a complete toss up with the Titans winning a close low scoring game.

    Titans 17 Patriots 10.

    :D

An ironic note: The running back for the Buffalo Bills in the Miracle was none other than A. Smith himself. The same dude we face this week. And as you'all know, he's a Houston boy.

Didn't they meet earlier this year and the PATs beat up on the Titans. As much as I'd like to see McNair win a Superbowl, I don't think it will happen before Payton Manning wins one this year.

This is from ESPN page 2: so true.

Play That Inexplicably Keeps Working: McNair's QB Draw

If the Titans are inside the 10, the defense might want to watch for Steve McNair on the draw.
We're going on five years. If the Titans are inside the 10, and it's second or third down, they're running the QB draw with McNair. Whether he's healthy, whether his foot is hanging off, whether he's in a full-body cast ... it doesn't matter. They're running that draw. And teams are flabbergasted every time. I will never understand this.

-13 Degrees tonight with the wind chill.

Oh my god! I wonder if UCLA boy drew Bennett will be ready for this. That is going to frigid. This game is going to come down to heart. Both teams have it tho'. Bulluck is a bigtime playmaker. If we can get one big play from him that might be all we need to secure this thing. We probably have the best punter too.

    Go Patriots!!!

I agree with all of the Titan haters on this board. Why do you fans show this team any loyalty, when this team hasnt shown the same loyalty back to Houston. This owner turned his back on us, and some of you still support him?

Also this isnt "our" team anymore. The titans left, what 7 years ago? OUR team is the TEXANS- an exciting, upcoming team who nearly beat the Titans despite being banged up. Fact of the matter is the Titans are on the downswing, while the TEXANS are MOVIN ON UP!!

As many people here know, I am a Broncos fan so I don't have allegiance to the Titans or Texans but how can you say something like that unless you are a complete Texan homer?

The Titans could be playing in the Super Bowl and with McNair, George, Mason, Kearse, Bulluck, etc, they should always be a playoff caliber team. Of course the Texans have nowhere to go but up because they are a new team. But to say that the Titans are on the downswing is a ridiculous statement. I understand the hatred but let's don't go overboard with hyperboles here.

I hate to be rude but you Titan haters are dumbasses. Everyone knows the Astrodome was a dump and the city needed a new stadium. The city didn't want to build a new one and bandwagpn fans (as most Houston crybaby fans are) didn't want to support the team. If I were the owner I would have left also, it's funny how the ****TY Astros who haven't accomplished anything ask for a stadium right after the Oilers left and they get it right away. Not just that they haven't accomplished anything, Baseball in general is the most boring sport to watch. You build a brand new stadium for the Texans, the same could have been done for the Oilers. Quit hating on Loyal Oilers/Titan fans who have followed McNair, Eddie Geroge, Wychek, Fisher and others. I hope the Titans win the Super Bowl here in Houston and piss you haters off even more!!! Peace.

Im comparing them to the Titans that went to the Superbowl, and of years past. George is just about done- he had a horrible year this year- altought he did great against the Raven, I doubt he keeps it up. Also free agency will hurt them as they are one of the teams that are most over the cap. No way this lineup returns next year- they're gonna lose george, or kearse - one thing's for sure someone's got to go. Even Mcnair isnt the same- Best QB rating in the NFL which is great, but you gotta admit hes been banged up and isnt as mobile as he used to be

    Omar23,
All I have to say is read todays article in the Houston Chronicle about our GM. Speaks volumes about why the Titans have the best winning record over the past 5 years. They just find a way to win (consistently). Something that is very, very hard to do in todays NFL (especially with the salary cap).

Bring on the cold and bring on the Patriots.
    Lets Go Titans!!!!

ps - Manny Ramierez - Excellent post. You are right on the money... Let the haters boil in their own stew!!!

Thanks Dream. Floyd Reese is the reason why, I think, the Titans will never be on the downswing. He has got to be one of the top 3 GMs in the NFL. I wish that Pat Bowlen would get a GM like Reese.

Tie game in the 4th with a score of 14-14 with two clutch quarterbacks on each end. It may very well come down to which quarterback gets to close out the final 2 minutes of the game, and make a game winning drive.
