Before the Patriots won their first Super Bowl, the were decimated in their other appearances weren't they? I know the Bears shellacked them. Seems like they had another appearance, but the details escape me. The Titans acquitted themselves very well IN THEIR FIRST SUPER BOWL APPEARANCE against what had been an awesome Ram team... Somebody always loses and it won't always be the Titans... or the Texans (my second favorite team) for that matter.
Unlike the "Oilers", they won. And then, they lost. And for 37 years, it's ALWAYS been the "Oilers". Yes, it will.
Colt45, Are you Nostradamus?? Even though I am a Broncos fan, I will be rooting for the Titans to win it all just to laugh at you and your smug comments.
You completely missed my point. Most teams don't win their first Super Bowl. The Patriots didn't. The Rams didn't (as LA) but if you want to make the case that the St. Louis Rams did.... well, you are looking at two first-time entrants (St. Louis and Houston/Tennessee).
I have a confession to make... I was watching TV at 2 AM and Don Cheadle come on the screen trying to kick a 45 yard FG with fake snow. Then they showed those CHEATING BASTARDS... and well... It wasn't pretty... I took a screwdriver and stabbed my bedframe to death. STRAIGHT TO HELL PATRIOTS... STRAIGHT TO HELLLLLLLL
How come the titans reciever didnt lunge for the endzone? The rams guy had him by the theighs. I am sure he could have used his feet and ankles to jump.
The saddest thing about that play was that the Titans could have drafted Randy Moss instead of Kevin Dyson. Everyone talks about Dallas passing Moss but the Titans were stupid enough to take a receiver over him. I bet Moss would have made that TD.
I never challenged that. I only criticized your hyper-criticism. Most teams lose in their first Super Bowl appearance and there are still quite a few teams who have never made it even once. Just because you want to rag on the Titans gives you now right to ignore the whole set of facts. We all know they lost the last time they were there, duh.
I think Dyson did all he could do. I thought Kevin would definately have to break the tackle to get in. It was just a great tackle. Especially given that it was slant and was perfectly thrown. The Ram just dropped him.
If Randy Moss hadn't admitted he "took plays off"... I'd regret the Dyson over Moss pick every waking moment. I was a huge Moss fan and actually did regret our selection until that moment in time. Now Moss is nothing but a classless punk to me, and I'm glad he doesn't play for my team. He can keep running over cops in Minnesota.
Randy Moss is better. No doubt. Way better. And Dyson sucked for the most part, everybody knows that, but Dyson will always be remembered and Randy Moss won't as of today. That's all I was pointing out. I'm glad Dyson was on the team. We wouldn't have been in the superbowl without him.
