You couldn't pay me enough to attend that game. Temperature in the single digits? No thanks. People might die in those conditions. It'll be a ugly rock fight. Pats 3. Oilers 0.
Heheheh. My cousin's husband and their son are both Patriots season ticket holders. My cousin tells me that the colder and more miserable the weather becomes, the more they like it.
After being spoiled in Houston all these years, I really can't imagine watching a full 3.5 hour game in snowy conditions. Of course I'd love to try it once in my life... but goodness! I get cold when the temperature drops below 60 degrees... I think I'd become an icicle at sub-zero wind chills.
My wish for the game is that Bud Adams is felled by a fatal heart attack before the game. Then I don't really care who wins. But in the real world, I think the Pats have the better chance: Pats 24 Titans 17
I am sure you were saying the same thing the year the chiefs came into Houston in the playoffs and snapped the Oilers 11 game winning streak. Coincindence....I think not... GO Titans. DD
In buffalo, and I have no idea how this works, but they say if you put newspaper under your feet it will keep you warmer. and they would know.
How are the two even related? If the Oilers had done the snapping before, then yeah, I'd believe you. But the Oilers were miserable chokers, as are the Titans. ONE YARD.
I know that my prediction is a goofy one (talking about the score) but I just have a feeling that with it being that cold and both defenses being that strong, that points are going to be hard to come by. But then again I thought that the Broncos would beat the Colts last weekend and we all know how that turned out.
The one yard was not a choke. If you watched the game you saw the Titans make a miraculous two minute drive down the field. It was miracle to come within one yard of tying. The true greatness of Mcnair was on display. Shedding Rams and hitting strikes all the way down the field. It was far from a choke. It was almost a miracle. The Titans owned the Rams in the 2nd half and on that final drive. Actually coming back from a 16 point deficit to tie with minutes to go, then coming up just short. In fact they were clutch. It was pure luck the Rams won the game. Kearse hit Warner forcing an errant throw that Bruce was able to adjust too. Causing the TD. After that. McNair orchestrated a brilliant drive down the field. Coming up just one yard short when mere mortals would have come up 30 yards short. Nobody choked on the final play. Everyone executed the play. The Rams just made a solid tackle and won the game. It's one of the few games were neither team choked. And if you looked at the whole playoffs, the Titans were amazingly clutch. It was one hell of a run. Just like this year will be.
I know. It's so much fun to rile up you Titans' fans with tales of choking, the evils of Bud Adams, and bringing down your God, Steve McNair.
Pats win handily. Bill's a defensive mastermind that will have the team prepared. McNair's too banged up, so I think he'll get sacked atleast once, and give up a couple of INTs. Both for good field position for the Pats. I think I heard somewhere the Pats are the best defensive scoring team in the league. They score so well off turnovers. Also given the homefield advantage and the fact that they're healthy, and always seem to grind out a win no matter the scenario it's hard to go against them. Titan's have played admirably, but the Pats are just the more complete team, and with the coach they have, you can bet they'll be prepared for any given scenario in the game.
And then, they lost. They still lost. But, the "Oilers lost. Until they lost. Until they lose. Like they always do.
Reach deep into your memory banks... to the early 1960s (if your memory goes back that far)... and you might be comfortable with HAS-BEENS!
I think NE will not cover, but will win...The last time I checked, it was NE -6... I would love the Titans to be in Houston, but I think they're too banged up...
And down the toilet goes another thread about the Titans. I guess we just can't hope to discuss the team in a civilized fashion. What else should I expect from Houstonians?
