For someone who brags about using my own logic against me, you remarkably seem unfamiliar with false analogies, which are logical fallacies.

UH has the preponderance of fan support among schools located in this city, so unless you want to argue that TSU and Rice have more fans, the "your home team" slogan is perfectly sensible. UH is as much of a home team as the Rockets, Astros, Texans and Dynamo are.

On the other hand, UT does not have a majority of the support in Texas - certainly a very large fraction, but to claim they represent the "pride of Texas" is merely self-inflated egotism on the behalf of their fans. This isn't Nebraska, where the Huskers have the vast majority of support. So yes, false analogy.

And I really appreciate the attendance dig at the end! I wish I could be a fan of a school with big fanbases that win every year, but I'm one of those terrible people that sticks with their alma mater, no matter how utterly awful their teams may be.

25% is the same as one quarter. I guess I thought when you said he completed his passes to open men for one quarter I took it to mean completion percentage except a quarter of a game.

Either way completing more than 60% of his passes seems to indicate it isn't in just one quarter that Vince Young has been successful in hitting the open men.

Does that preponderance of fan support buy tickets? After all, that is how fan support is judged. TSU and Rice...that's some competition.

I would argue if you polled Houstonians who their favorite team is...

    NBA...Rockets
    NFL...Texans
    MLB...Astros
    NCAA... :p

I like Vince Young. I do. I just don't think the sun shines out of his ass like a lot of his fans do. It's like John Lennon said, Christ was alright, but his disciples were thick and ordinary.

welcome to Clutchfans, have you EVER READ ANY MEOWGI posts on Vince Young???

has Meogwi EVER tried making an 'argument' on VY?

try reading some of his posts on Vince. Tell me if they are "LOGICAL"
I'm not saying I dislike his posts either, its good fun this back and forth non-sense between US (not you).

you wouldn't have a majority, for sure, with the NCAA. and the leading team would be the Longhorns.

Actually, the Chronicle did a poll on this a few years ago.

UH was tops in the NCAA category.

UH beat out UT by a couple percentage points.

TAMU was a handful back of that.

the rest was split between Rice/TCU/TTU/etc

interesting...i'm wondering how the study was done. what the margin of error was. because i have a hard time believing that, having spent my entire life in this city, but for 4 years in Waco.

Titans rule ... if two whippings this season hasn't taught the perpetually futile Texans anything, check this ... we're in the playoffs! just watch and chill.

    as usual.

i know, i know ... the next year mantra. its the last straw for delusional Texans fans to hang a hope. ignore the toxic mixture of front office and players. next year brings a magical elixir!

unfortunately, the tradition is as losers, no doubt it'll prove timeless.

    as usual.
