It's like we're settling for mediocrity. You gotta take at least one shot into the endzone with 8 seconds left. Now with the blocked FG, its still a 2 score game.
Because there was no way Carr was going to have the time to look 30 yards into the end zone with Ten's DL breathing down his neck. If we make that FG, its 21-13 and our ball to start the 2nd half, which puts us in a position to steal this game.
With no timeouts left, you can't take the risk of getting sacked in that situation (and they had just gotten sacked two plays before that, so its not like it wasn't a big possibility). There's nothing to fault w/ the play-calling today... its just that the players are just not executing, especially on the defensive side of the football.
I didn't have a problem with the Field Goal. The Texans were out of time outs and with the offensive line we have, why risk the sack? The titans being able to block our FG, completely unacceptable
If our O-Line was better I would take a shot too but Carr holds the ball too long and Seth Wand is just getting killed on the end.
Why did they let the time run off the clock. They played for the field goal with about 44 seconds left. I usually defend Capers but letting the time run just to play for a field goal was completely p***y.
