Regardless of the dysfunction, when VY plays, the Titans tend to win a lot of games. And there tends to not be any dysfunction when they let him play. We now have 3 seasons where Vince has played part of a season, and their record is substantially better in the part he played than not every time. I don't think losing Fisher (if he's replaced by a decent coach) and keeping VY is the best end-result for Texans fans.
Can you call someone a proven winner as a pro QB when they've never made the playoffs? Don't mean to diss VY, I like him a lot, just seems like that's a bit premature. Either way, I agree with you about the situation. I thought Vince was out after the last episode.. but now it looks like Fisher is.
He made the playoffs in the only year he was the full time starter (yr 2). Got his ass kicked by San Diego, but they did make it. In each of the last two part-time years, they had a playoff-caliber record in the games he started as well.
Sorry - they were 5-4 this year, so that's not really playoff-caliber. They were 8-2 last year when he started and 0-6 when he didn't.
Look at Fisher's record minus VY the last 5 years. The best thing for Texans fans is for Fisher to stay and stick with Kerry Collins. They'll definitively be terrible that way. Lose Fisher and find someone who tolerates VY, and no one has any idea what will happen.

My mistake then. I even checked with a UT fan before posting that.. guess I should stick to actual sources and not hearsay. To weigh in, I'd much rather them keep Fisher and boot Vince. Fisher's team has quit on him.. I'd rather that then having to watch Vince run 20+ yards to beat us again.
What says they stick with Collins? IMO, they would be looking for a new number one is VY was to leave. I'd much rather have VY stay then Fisher. They suck with out VY because it's Kerry Collins as the back up. If they had a 2nd legit starter....they wouldn't suck so much with out the starting QB. They do tend to play better with VY (last year) but, that's because otherwise they have a back up playing. I don't know, I'm loving this drama. VY crying....Fisher Losing. Win win.
