Munchak has already run off the tracks. He hired Chris Palmer as OC. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6124751 Dis ship be sinkin already?
are you nuts?! He led the hartford colonials to the #1 passing and #1 rushing team in the UFL last year.
Mcclain is slobbing all over Palmer's knob on Twitter. We never gave him an o-line, but he really hadn't done enough as an OC/HC to warrant sticking with him. All of his success came as QB coach, other than 2 years in Jacksonville. Plus, either his head was stuck in his ass or he never realized what a beast AJ really was, because I remember weak after weak screaming at the TV for them to throw him the damn ball. But I'm sure he is a nice guy. Just like Kubes.
To be fair, there's only so much you can accomplish when you're stuck with David Carr as your QB. A lot of people thought hiring Dom Capers was nuts too - I think the Texans experience unfairly maligned a lot of people.
To compound things, Munchak is a first-time head coach who hasn't even been a coordinator before. I'm going to assume that means he will rely on his coordinators more than the average NFL bear that knows his way around the block. Major, failing as a head coach and returning to be a successful coordinator isn't noteworthy. I am not surprised by what Dom Campers accomplished at Green Bay based on his long-time record on the defensive side. If Chris Palmer somehow does a great job for the Titans, that will be huge news IMO. I'm curious how Titans fans will react to this.
Reminds me of when the Titans were getting all those former Pro-Bowl AFC receivers past their prime: like Yancy Thigpen and Carl Pickens. (Actually, it might have just been those two.)
