Not too hard to understand for me. There is no way in hell Bud would allow Munchak to join Bruce Matthews in Houston to help the Texans. That's just who he is. No one here should be surprised at all by anything that a$$hole does.

Munchak appears to be a very good oline coach so I would have done the same thing if I were Ten, but surely even you see why Houston fan's hate Bud Adams. If not, get back to me in a few seasons when he is ready to relocate to L.A.

Munchak, if offered the OC position, would have been up for a promotion. Musgrave coming in as QB coach would be a lateral move. Wasn't this already discussed? Titans denied their coach a chance at a promotion. The Falcons and Dolphins did not.

The story out of Nashville was that Munchak didn't want to go to Houston, so Fisher took the heat for him and denied the Texans. It is suggested that this is very commonly done.

Munchak may be the next in line to coach. Or maybe Bud is grooming Fisher to take over the franchise. He let a schizophrenic accountant, Ladd Herzeg, run the football team once, so this would just be vicey-versey.

So a 40+ year old man can't say no by himself? Does Fisher wipe his ass for him too?

Another story out of Nashville says that's not a coon skin cap atop Bud Adams head that it's actually a toupee/dustmop that Adams bought at the Dollar Store.

So, will Munchak be approached again this offseason now that his contract is up and/or Fisher is out?

I wouldn't think so - Kubiak has to have his ear pinched and twisted to fire complete failures on the staff. To think he'd fire Dennison after one year to go for an upgrade would be unreal.

My thought was they didn't really want him to call plays last year, just wanted him on staff and were using the "OC" title to find a way to get him here.

That sucks... would have loved to have seen this old Oiler back in Houston. My dog was named "Munchak" when I was a kid. I was a HUGE Oilers fan... but admittedly, the name choice was helped by the fact that my father went to Penn State.

Born in State College. Grew up around Penn State football. Munch is the "Tops".
