Costco has great prices for Bridgestone and Michelin. Worth checking out if you have a membership. They also have a decent replacement plan.

My wife's car picked up a nail driving home from vacation one year. This was in Jacksonville and still 10 hours away from home. But there just happened to be a few Discount Tires in the area. The one we went to didn't have the tires in stock but they called a nearby store that did and they held them for us. And with our certs they replaced it free. Delayed us a free hours but saved us possibly hundreds.

So yeah I never go anywhere but there. Always nice, knowledge and service is beyond comparison.

Discount Tire all the way. One of the first things i do when i buy a car is go to discount and pay the warranty fee per tire like i just bought them, from then on I'm covered.

All the free air pressure checks, rotations and leak fixes Discount Tire does for me has sealed my loyalty. I will walk in with a price, but I won't buy anywhere else.

It's a great business model and well executed.

I did have a story once though. I did a rotation and started to drive out when it didn't feel right, turned around and went back. The manager looked and the guy had hand done the lugs but not tightened them. The manager turned to the tech and said "get your tools, you're fired".

    Another vote for Discount Tire.

Also, little known fact... You can haggle with the salesman at Discount Tire for a better price.

Yes this is true. I will also tell you they have some pretty significant mark ups on some of the better brands so always haggle with them. Always get them to buy your old tires too. IF they have tread on them, you can get something for them. It may be 10 bucks per tire but it adds up

I bought my last set from Tire Rack. Discount Tire gave me a warranty on them on the cheap and I've gone there more than a few times to patch tires due to the horrible roads here. Big fan even with the long wait times.

Probably a toss up between Discount Tire and Costco.

I vote Discount Tire because they have locations everywhere. They'll rotate your tires, fix flats, and if you can't find a tire at that store they'll find the closest store for you with the tires in stock.

Costco = No BS extra warranty prices, if you have an unfixable tire, they pro-rate the new tire based on the tread wear of the damaged tire. If you have a fixable flat (nail in tire) fix a flat yourself or go somewhere in Spring Branch for $20.

Also, every month they have a discount of approximately $70 instead of the BS $100 gift cards you have to wait for in the mail (takes like a month and then expires) or the requirement to sign up for a new credit card thru Discount Tire.
