I used Tire Rack for my Challenger, cheapest price I could find. But if you have regular tires and don't need specialty tires, I've always gone to Discount tire. Free rotations and balance is a great perk!
Discount tire price matches. My buddy had a bad experience at tire rack where they stripped the lug nuts in his 350z... I haven't ever used them do can't personally say anything about them. But discount tire won me as a customer when I had a flat (bolt in my tire ) and they plugged it for me when the tire wasn't even from them...
Check out Discount Tire Direct: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/home.do They have tires that the main site and store doesn't list and lower prices. If you find what you want just call your local store and they will order that tire, it will be shipped to the store and then you go in when it arrives and they will replace it.
Also, the actual discount tire stores will price match the site. I bought some phone and he told me I should have night them from his store, he would have beat the price with install fee etc...
i needed a flat repair on a tire that i did not even buy at discount tire and they fixed it for free...they got a customer for life in me.
I can't remember the last time I bought a tire anywhere other than Discount Tire. I usually have them price-match any other place that may be cheaper. The best answer is probably "wherever you can get them the cheapest by a reputable company".
If you can price match from Discount Tires that would be great. I've always had trouble price matching Tirerack's price at Discount Tire. The tires that I would try to match, were always "out of stock".
Count mine as another vote for Discount Tire. At this point, I buy all my tires from them. I like that basically any service you need done, once you've bought a complete set from them, is free of charge, and I also like that there are locations all over the place. If something happens out on the road, I know that, once I get the spare put on, I'm probably not far from a Discount Tire.
Actually worked at discount tire my sr year in high school and through college. They really are a good company. I would give them my schools schedule and my hours would be built around it. As far as buying tires from them, you can't find a better option. I often fixed people's tires for free and would even rotate and balance them if they weren't a previous customer or had dealer tires on their vehicle. They will price match any ad you bring in. If they are "out of stock" they can always find them in stock and send a tech to another store to pick them up or order them. I will always use them and when I go there for my vehicles I will hang out in the bays and shoot the **** with the kids working there.
