I can. I was the laughing stock of the board when I was so sure we would pick Kawhi after Phoenix picked Markief. It was a no brainer to me. Leonard was Gerald Wallace light with a good head. I looked up and down the board and thought this was by far the best guy left and I couldn't believe he was still available.

So I started a thread prematurely saying Yea! Yea Kawhi Leonards a Rocket! I love Parsons, he is a smart player who gets the most out of his talent, but Leonard is still learning and already he does things Parsons will never be able to do and he is a better shooter to boot. I won't even talk about Marcus. Even Morey says he has to work hard this off season just to contribute. That's hardly a ringing endorsement. And this is the man who evaluated every bit of film along with the smartest minds in the league and saw that something to make him believe he was better than Kawhi. Go figure.

I think CXbby also owes to the tip jar with the bet between us about the Rockets making it to the playoffs.

To put this in perspective for people.

    Derrick Rose couldn't do this.
    CP3 couldn't do this.
    DWill couldn't do this.
    John Wall couldn't do this.
    Steve Nash couldn't do this.
    Jason Kidd couldn't do this.

You know what kind of an elite club this puts Irving into? A level unreachable by even some of the best PGs of this generation?

    That's right.

Again, this is what happens when you base your "analysis" on a few youtube videos and blind faith in management.

I'm pretty sure this dude used to be all over Adelman and was repping McHale hard. Well.... his theories were certainly put to the test.

I actually did ask for Kawhi Leonard because we needed a Small forward. Then the homers convinced me after the draft that Morris could play small forward too and I thought it would be ok. Should have went with my gut and called out this decision too. I knew Leonard was better for us. Oh well.

Morris is a bust. The lights are on but no-one is home.

I'd rather have Kenneth Faried than both of them.

You call a player bust after 2 or 3 years normally. Actually he can get minutes with a bad team. Just could not with us....and our non playoff team.

I guess you cant go wrong drafting "high motor" guys even if they are undersized.

Here's the thread. Honestly doesn't sound like you were a laughingstock because you wanted Kawhi (which MANY of us did) but because you jumped the gun in your excitement. There were many who agreed with you (Hakeemtheking - "That's OK, OMR. It was either Leonard or Morris, and by the negative reaction from most posters on the Morris pick, I say you had a lot of people thinking like you. No biggie.") but to make it seem like you were the only one on board the Kawhi train is disingenuous.

Kawhi vs Parsons is close but right now, you have to favor Kawhi. Kawhi vs Marcus? They honestly don't belong in the same paragraph at this point.

Idk. He could have said congrats to Kyrie.

Anyway, Kyrie is a frachise player and probably the only one in this past draft.
