This was the era of cartoons where everything had to be "baby" this or that. Tiny Tunes, Muppet Babies, The Flintstone Kids etc.

    Horrible.

I never watched Flinstone kids, but I loved Muppet Babies and I guess it did kick off the trend, but Muppet Babies was great, I remember they did a lot of film parodies like Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

I think Tiny Toons was different because it was more of a tweener thing, plus they were all new characters, not baby versions of the previous guys (turns out there was a baby looney tunes show from 2002-2005 that was exactly the same as muppet babies).

A Pup Named Scooby Doo, that was pretty crappy, but I can't remember any other similar shows so I don't know if I would call it an era.

Man, the best thing on tv for a while was THE BIG CARTOONY SHOW where they showed Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain etc.

I loved Tiny Toons when I was a kid.

Yeah the X-Men cartoon was the best. I bought the complete series off ebay a few years back. It even included some pilot from the 80s that never got turned into a series. Wolverine had an Australian accent.

    best way to finish
    /thread.

Obviously no cuz i'm adding stuff here  Didnt like Animaniacs much at all, seemed too contrived at being "zany". Forgot about the whole young & baby versions of previous cartoon ...Tom and Jerry Kids??

Muppet Babies was by far the best though. Never even thought of them as babies. And getting Tom Selleck to make a cameo in it and speak some lines you cant beat that.

Batman: The Animated Series was higher quality than X-Men, but I liked them both.

    I agree.

Pinky and the Brain>Tiny Toons> Animaniacs

waka waka waka...SHAaADY!!! I think I got Tiny Toons up there. Animaniacs was good mostly because of their side characters. Muppet Babies had crazy plots. Pinky and the Brain was the "LOST" of that cartoon genre. you just wanted to see what would happen next.

How do people feel about other toons...

    Eek! The Cat (Stravaganza)
    The Tick
    Beetlejuice
    Bobby's World

and does ANYBODY remember a Super Dave cartoon? It feels like I was the only one who knew of the show.

Yea I remember the Super Dave cartoon, I liked Beetlejuice but I absolutely HATED The Tick. Eek! The Cat wasn't bad. And I would watch Bobby's World because it came on right before X-Men and that way I wouldn't go back to sleep. I remember that Louie Anderson cartoon also, it wasn't bad but it didn't last very long.

I don't know how you can say P&tB was better than Animaniacs...it was born from that show and prominently featured in nearly every other episode...

I personally loved Taz-Mania. I never liked him on looney toons but he was hilarious on his own show with his broken speech. Oh, and his dad was the best. Always talking about how much he loved orange juice...
