    Wow!

I would imagine that sucker's probably too advanced, I bet even 1080p looks grainy on that monster.

I did consider painting it (the black out cloth is really a very light grayish white). But thought better of it. So I left it alone. Anyway, most digital projectors these days are bright enough that a gray screen isn't a problem. In some cases, a gray screen is preferred since it does increase perceived contrast.

Plasmas are known for running pretty hot. Wonder if you can heat your house with that thing ....

I heard about this thing, didn't realize they finished building it. So I guess the japanese win again when it comes to extravagant electronics...

nice setup, big screen especially for only 1600 bucks, most LCDs don't sell that low.

that UHD thing looks awesome, can you imagine watching a Rockets game on that thing??? Life-Like???

but still, this is pretty nice also

    Damn, that's pretty cheap for a 103-foot tv. But I don't know where I'd put it... :D

After reading this thread I feel so inadequate!

29" Panasonic tube tv, vcr, dvd
    100 watt Panasonic reciever
    Harmon Kardon 5.1 setup
New Zealand version of Tivo called MySky (which is my favorite thing ever)

One good thing about my situation is that I had the speakers mounted on the ceiling and the wires are invisible. We also built an alcove in the room, so it basically is an unobtrusive media setup. I desperately want the badass LCD, but we just built a new house and we want to travel to Europe, so money is a bit tight. I keep telling myself that the longer I wait, the cheaper and better all of this home theater stuff will be. My dream is to have all of my music and film media on hard drives ready to go and be used by wi-fi connections all over the house, inside and out. Does anybody see that on the tech horizon?

The speakers are mounted on the ceiling with the center channel on the wall above the TV. I have the sub in a corner. I'm on the top floor so I had the maintenence guy run wires for me for $20. I hate wires everywhere.
