when i lived in midtown for the last 2 years, the lights always seemed F'd up in the middle of the day, but during rush hour they were the way Sam described it. i got on pierce to get to 45 S and after the initial red light could get all the way to the freeway with no more reds on a lot of days depending on the drivers around me. same thing coming home on st. joseph's. add in those little countdowns telling you when the yellow light was coming and i loved it.
