It would be cool to just do the last couple years over. Heck, it would be cool to do the last week over.

I think that you would get used to the hygiene thing eventually, especially if everyone else was the same.
Does anyone wonder why dinosaurs were so big? Back then there were much, much more oxygen in the world. That is why there are fossils of huge insects that were like the size of humans. So if I could travel back in time just before the dinosaurs, about 500 million years and have kids. My kids will be like 15 feet tall and I'd begin a human race so powerful that by this present day the human race would conquer the whole Milky Way Galaxy at least and have explorers going into different dimensions of the universe.
Make it a M16 and you can can rule the world. They can still over run you against your glock or outdistance you with longbows. Throw in an attached grenade launcher and they'll worship like like a god.
I find it hard to imagine me going back and not being killed by someone or something. Just imagine you show up to some village dressed differently and talking differently. It would probadly be worse if you took some sort of technology back like an ipod or something. They would probadly think your a witch and hang you or something. The only way I would go is if you can guarantee me safety.
I'm starting to think kevlar and carbon fiber reinforced armor, a carbon composite crossbow with a sword made out of stainless steel or ceramic composite. Those would give you protection but might not be something so beyond their understanding that ancient people would panic from. Of course you would have to learn some fighting skills. If you were in Medieval England you could set yourself up as the Black Knight.
you mean you wouldnt travel to the future to become a homicide detective in los angeles and "retire" the remaining replica?
One interesting thing about time travel that isn't often discussed is the actual distance you would have to travel to reach the earth in the past. Let's say you wanted to see the dinosaurs 200 million years ago -- you would have to account for the expansion of the universe, the rotation of the galaxy, etc., etc. That would be a very long journey -- the farther back you go the more energy it would take.
Did you just watch " Morgan Freeman's Through the Wormhole" on the science channel? And I thought you could only travel into the future.
This comes to mind: Nibblonian 1: "It's a genetic abnormality which resulted when you went back in time and performed certain actions which made you your own grandfather." Fry: "I did do the nasty in the pasty!" Nibblonian 2: "Verily. And that past nastification is what shields you from the brains. You are the last hope of the universe." Fry: "So, I really am important? How I feel when I'm drunk is correct?" Nibblonian 1: "Yes. Except the Dave Matthews Band doesn't rock."
