first, his value is NOT high any more. second, your "think" is wrong, we can NOT get any great players for Yao. We might get a 1st round pick in return, and that's it.

Hell they are stupid, haven't you been reading all the Chicken littles posting lately?

The team should be doing exactly what is best for the team and not chase the $$$$...

Les Alexander has tied himself to Yao's money....that is a problem for the HOUSTON ROCKETS.

Riiiight, because Yao and China had such a good chance at winning a medal...
They were the worst team year in and year out...but he didn't care...hmmm a chance to win a championship with the Rockets or get 7th place in the Olympics/Worlds with China? I hope the Rockets have learned their lesson when it comes to players who think of Houston as their 2nd tier team even though he's getting paid 10x the money he was with his national team.

Like I said, I hope that olympic first round and OUT was worth it for Yao..oh well, the guy made his money and has screwed our franchise, I guess he doesn't have much now except for living out his contract...we might as well use his ass for all we can since he did the same with us.

I know it doesn't make sense for the fans but "the team" is owned by Les Alexander whose sole purpose in purchasing the team is to make money for himself. He wants to keep the team competitive so that he can make money.

That is exactly what is best for Les Alexander. As for us fans, do you really think he cares.

Threads like this are exactly why I'm not active in the GARM anymore. There are no sane conversations to be found. I didn't think it would take all of three games for people to start calling for Yao's head, of all things.

I think Yao is doing what he can and he's actually playing pretty well, but I said awhile back, his time is done and he shouldve been traded. A poster earlier said if it weren't for yao and his off court money , chase wouldnt be a rocket. Well, what money did cuban use to buy that 1st rd pick this year? How did ok city wind up with all these young 1st rd picks?

Hey guys, As a chinese, I have to say we have the different cultures.

In china, those players were raised by our country, not their family. Our country or those provinces or cities paid almost everything for those player when they were very young, and train them to be a better player. So I think it's their responsibility to play for our national team. And I think playing for our country is something that someone should be very proud of.

I have been here for 4 years. I heard many players in the US, they need to hire trainers to help improve themselves, like what D-Wade or Kevin Martin do in the summer. they need to pay that by themselves. and you can't accept money before you enter this league except scholarship.

So my point is clearly your player play for themselves, for money, for their team who pay them money. that's why many all star players don't play for your national team. but for Yao, he play for Rockets, and he has to play for our countries because our country gave him all he could get to become a good player.and he play for all chinese people, and we all support him and respect him.

Many of you guys don't understand, or you will never understand that.

About trading Yao, the first idea I had in my mind is that Rockets might become Golden state warriors.

Yao's a smart guy, he's paid his due to China's Sports Bureau. even the blind can see he's done with China's national team, and he has given enough hints already. But he will continue to rake in endorsement $$$ in China, he will both have the proverbial cake and eat it too.

You know what. A lot of teams would want Yao. Those teams are not going to follow the stupid 24 minutes rules. They will play Yao more minutes to help their teams win. Believe it!!!
