Guys, I know most of you don't like Scott Brooks including myself. But let's all be honest, he is better than Kevin Mchale and J.B Bickerstaff. So if the Rockets try and hire him the only positive we should all look at is he is a WAY better coach than Kevin Mchale and J.B Bickerstaff and knows better about the X's and O's than those two. And he does have NBA finals experience.
With the way people crucify McHale and JBB around here (myself included), even the loss is a win. My question for those around here, what if we brought in an older coach, nearing the end of his career (like an Adelman) and put him under JBB? Would that be a disaster? Would that honestly be worse than Brooks?
Morey becomes OKC GM and brings back Brooks and Harden? KD signs an infinite long contract at 20mil to stay in the butthole of America? Dang man, thats a crazy offseason.
Brooks is a good coach. With Thibs taking Minny job, i think he's definitely Morey's #1 now. His career winning % is .620
Rockets gonna fire two guys who rely on ISO ball in order to hire a coach who only relied on ISO ball in OKC? Amazing
This is why we need a former Rocket player as head coach...be it Ellie or Cassell or Brooks To remind this team of our roots and what we stand for.
So.... Brooks is basically McHale 2.0 Why the hell would anybody entertain that idea? We need a real system, real coach please.
GM: Jeff Van Gundy Asst. GM: Mark Jackson Head Coach: Scott Brooks Asst. Coach: Patrick Ewing Asst. Coach: Rick Brunson C: Dwight Howard/Varejao PFJ Tucker/ Chuck Hayes SF:Trevor Ariza/ Jared Dudley SG:James Harden/Jason Terry PG:Andre Miller/Pablo Prigioni
Should have never let Adelman go IMO. Would love for the Rockets to give him a call, but I'm pretty sure he's done with coaching.
