I actually thought this would be another weird post, but that made sense.

    Good takes OP.

For all we know hartenstein looks awful in practice and doesn’t deserve mins right now.

The Rockets play small in part because their bigger players are not very good. A smaller player that is good trumps a bigger player that is bad.

Hartenstein doesn't need to be playing....... he doesn't make a difference.

Small ball is working? OK. We have two MVPs in their prime in the back court. We should be winning games with those two. We have a skinny center CC, but no one else over 6’7”. The small ball style will only take the team so far in the playoffs. And, it’s just plain boring when opponents score at will with zero effort defensively. It’s like watching an All-Star game with guys running up and down the court without guarding each other. Boy do I miss the days of watching guys block shots and play hard nose defense. That’s what makes the game exciting, not a bunch of guys jacking up long range 3 pointers with an occasional layup.

The fact is, the Rockets are nothing more than fool’s gold. With two former MVP’s they’ll win enough games to make the playoffs because we have the players to do it. No way this team wins a championship with the current roster, and it damn sure won’t with this coach.

It was very early when I tried to read OP's post. I tried again and there is some insightful stuff in this poorly spaced post. I agree, play Harty and Gary more, now is the time. MDA can definitely learn from Doc in that aspect. These guys are never going to be ready to play if they never play.

I still remember Harty's game against the Warriors last year, he played well. MDA always finds any way to not play Gary and Hartenstein. Just play them and see what happens, you aren't going to lose a game giving these guys minutes.

I agree with most of your post OP except:
    Micheal Jackson BAD is good.

It's October and our only good backup C is also our 34 year old starting PF. The thing that's getting me is he's not even suiting up? We've been in close games every game so far, but what happens if we get up by 15 or 20, we really aren't gonna even give him any minutes?

We have 4 (four) centres on the roster right now and only one is playable.

I don't know what MDA will do.

However I don't believe he is a very good fit for the Rockets and isn't really all that good an NBA player.

Dmo is a finesse bigman that can't rebound or defend other bigmen. We suck at rebounding. Horrible fit
