Name anybody on our team that is better, or has to potential to be Dwight Howard in the future

You are dreaming if you think their is anybody that we have anywhere close to Dwight Howard

If you are truly for helping and wanting the Rockets to win a championship(then it takes patience). Right now Dwight is having people tell him stuff in his ear.

Morey wants a star player, and this is about as close realisticly as we have ever been in his tenure to getting a Superstar player, and you are trying back out now. Because he isnt mentioning the Rockets as a possible destination

I have not heard Dwight Howard publicly come out and say that he hates Houston. You keep pursuing Dwight until he is traded elsewhere. Right now he has no leverage or options. If the Magic Gm is ready to trade him( it will be to Houston). And once he starts playing here( all will be forgotten)

You remmeber Kobe and TMAC wanted trades from their respective teams( do people even bring that up anymore). Throw in Melo as well. After he is settled in Houston, this whole saga will blow

You can not be shortsighted, and wanna give up. Just things are not going your way right now

Morey is still pursuing Dwight and thats all that matters

If I thought our owner would allow our GM to do WHATEVER is possible to build a real contender, I'd care less about this than I do.

But since I'm convinced he won't do that, I'm all for bringing Howard, torpedoes be damned.

I refuse to participate in your poll the way it is written.

dude, how about you give time for the free agency picture to clear up before you make this thread?

I know you are all about drafting rookies and were so excited about Hasheem Thabeet leading us to 2 championships next year, but truth of the matter is the "youth" movement ain't going to bring us a championship unless we have an "elite" movement.

truer words have never been said.

Dwight Howard is about as close realistically as Morey has ever been to getting a Superstar to Houston. When a player of this magnitude in his prime is on the trading block( a trade wont happen right away). The Magic GM is looking at all the offers from teams around the league( because they wanna get MAX value for him). You dont trade the LeBrons, or Durants of the world in 4 or 5 days, these things are done months in advance

Things could change. If we end up with one of his friends and teams keep taking themselves off Dwights list like the Nets just did? Houston could all of the sudden look like roses to him. Situation is actually changing because it lasted so long. Other teams are now moving on. Houston being stuck in purgatory may have helped to outlast them. Right now i have him going to LA and Atlanta before Houston though. Assuming Deron resigns as a Net or Mav effects these things hugely.

I say no. If we have to sell off all of our young players and inherit a bunch of bad contracts with the hope that Dwight will want to resign -- and continue to play with the same bad players -- doesn't seem likely. I would prefer to give the Donatas, Asik lineup at try.

Yes, Asik's hands can't finish a layup on a 7 foot goal, but neither could Chuck when he joined our team. Yao's hands were terrible when he joined the league, we got them to somewhat respectable levels.

Donatas and Asik, two seven footers, one with offense, one with defense...both can rebound. I like it. I like it a lot more than betting on Dwight feeling good about Houston the day he is offered a new contract.

You don't just say No to an elite DPOY player that is good enough offensively
Gotta have a good reason besides he is a biatch

Howard puts us in the playoffs next year. These three rookies do not. I don't care if Howard hates the city - he's not being traded for his opinions, he's being traded for his skills.

I think Morey would still say yes even if the Rowdies came on with several Tundras and Ipads.....
