I vote, YES. As I have said many times, in your hearts you know Magic's comment was right on target. Enough, let's move on.

I didn't like it back then, but I love the idea now. :) Though we've got different reasons.

So when everything starts clicking and working together you want to trade a key piece? At least wait til after next season, why are we so desperate to kill ourselves like Suns, Dallas or Memphis? You guys really think this is a wise idea?

It's time to move on. Trade Yao or T-Mac.

I'm surprised that any idiot would want to trade T-MAC...are you kidding me? What other superstar other than Kobe or Lebron can carry a team to the playoffs? Names that come to mind from this and last yr....KG...Ray Allen...Pierce...wade(this yr)...the list goes on.
If you want to trade TMAC over Yao take a look at with only Yao and only TMAC from both years, with only Yao we're either negative or just at .5
Trade Yao if anyone, I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back all washed up, Bosh + Calderon would be amazing.

A more realist approach is trying to move Battier for a more consistent scorer. Would Battier and others be sufficient to get Artest?

A bad time to move on don't you think? You saw what the Rockets were capable of before Yao went down, so why not give it one more year?

Seriously, either fans here are idiots or they are too desperate for the future long run.

I would go with r****ds, its ok...natural selection will take care of everything :p

But like i said, trading Tracy would be the worst thing possible, no1 outside of lebron or Kobe would be sufficient

I don't think trading for Lebron or Kobe would provide the same efficiency as McGrady. Sure they may miss less games, but McGrady's overall impact isn't just his numbers, but his abilities to make other players better.

Lebron is a very good player, and he passes the ball alot no doubt. But i don't think he could get the players involved like McGrady ;) . McGrady's impact is all about getting the players involved and playing smart ball.

But of course, unless we're planning to trade both Yao and McGrady, getting lebron with yao may not necessarily be a good idea. If we're gonna rebuild the team, rebuild it, not replace.

    My 2 cent :D

Half of Scola/ everyone's points come of Tracy , yea i guess your right Kobe and Lebron couldn't provide that. Also our chemistry during our streak was some of the greatest the NBA has ever seen, I want to see more of that next season.

    josh childress, josh smith???

Say man how many threads are already up about this already? combine your thioughts into one of the others. Now next question are you willing to take a step backwards because that is what you are suggesting? Not only that the teams you are talking about couldn't when in the east so why would you want them over here in the west where it is much better talent? we as fans need to think things through before we post PEACE

I would love Josh Smith on this team!

    Pros over Batman:

    Younger
    Longer?
    Shot Blocking is tremendous

    Cons:

    Younger
    Less total experience
Needs to work on jumpshot (as evidenced by GM7 vs C's.)

with his equaling kg's performance in the playoffs, i don't think battier can even come close to getting josh smith.

Alright this might sound corny but have you seen the movie 300.. The spartans fought well bc they faught as one. A warrior to me is a person who goes into war or (competition) as a team and as a team win. Take for example argentina. None of those dudes are athletic beasts but they are a team, each player doing their part for the team and look at their results.. I see that in players like scola battier Yao. I cant put my finger on why but i dont see that in Mcgrady.. he is an individual who seems selfish not in that he doesnt pass the ball bc he does that well, but in his attitude. Does that answer your question?

    Wha...????

I understood your comparison but that would pertain to Kobe more than McGrady...T-MAC has in no way every struck me as selfish ever since hes come to houston, quite on the contrary he sacrificed a lot of his game to adjust with Yao.

Ironic. So if McGrady "fights as one" he'll be criticized for trying not to be blamed. If McGrady "Fights by himself" he'll be criticized for being selfish and not getting the teammates involved.

He does both, and plays with injuries, isn't that good enough? Sure he talks about pain. But tell me, who whines more? Kobe or McGrady? Who stays and whines at the refs more? Kobe or McGrady? Why do people call Kobe a warrior when McGrady plays the "play now argue later"? Kobe whines on court and the media, yet he is still called a warrior. Kobe wanted out before this season, did McGrady want out?

McGrady could goto a team like the spurs, make them exponentially better and get rid of all the 1st round fuss. Also he had his knees drained right before game 6 because of all the fluid, to go off with a 40 pts performance and exceptional FG% sounds like a warrior to me.
