Did you guys watch Wesley play this past year? He is clearly past his expiration date. We are talking chunky milk here...

He actually hobbles around like Earl Campell on the court(I know I actually saw Campbell in a celeb basketball game a few years ago for UT alum). No offense to Wesley, he would make a good backup plan but I just don't think he has the miles left in his legs. I wouldn't sign him to fill a role as a rotational bench player. If we signed him again it would be to play Mark Jackson type minutes(ie. not a whole heck of a lot but still more than Vin Baker minutes). I mean he could help fill out the roster as someone to plug in for blowouts and the extreme cases where injuries leave us thin at the 1 or 2 but oustide of that I would NOT want him out there against anyone's first team - ever.

I think given the circumstances we would be just as wise to bring in a young player to develop on the court since Wesley would likely see only limited trash minutes anyway. Mind as well give the inconsequential minutes to a younger player - we have enough vets anyway.

We should consider him only at the verteran minimum to complete the roster. I would possibly sign him over frahm due to his better effort on the defensive end and his experience. But in now way should we depend on Wesley for anything beyond 10-15 minutes/game (if that).

Clarence Weatherspoon has lost 5 pounds. I'm sure he could handle the starting sg spot.

it would be painful to see Wesley play again.
    Plan Y: Bring Wesley
    Plan Z: Sign weatherspoon again.

    Wesley: Knock-knock.

    Dawson: Who's there?

Wesley: Mike James in the third year of his new contract.
