    I also think we can profit from toney by using him occasionally...he has some fine qualities...3p ...some D ...and who know the season is long perhaps he will be important part of this champ team...

    I don't think it's fair to insult Douglas and talk crap about him. He plays hard and does the best he can and that's all you can really ask. If he doesn't have as much talent as other guys, that's not really his fault.

    I am pissed off at Sampson, not Douglas.

    That said I've already been calling him "Touchdown" because I think that every time I see "TD".

    I agree. Unless TD is secretly blackmailing Sampson to give him more time, there's really no reason to hate the guy. He seems like a genuinely nice dude who hustles hard. Back on the Knicks Woodson even said that despite going from a starter to being behind Lin, Baron Davis, AND Mike Bibby, Douglas never complained and was always one of the first ones off the bench to congratulate his teammates. It's not his fault our coach is incompetent, or that he's really a SG in a PG's body.

    Players who bust their ass every game like TD -- there's nothing more you can expect from them. Ragging on his faults, that's just picking low hanging fruit -- just leave it alone. TD is also by every indication an upstanding guy too.

    You're late to this, but it's no use anyway. Even though having Bill Worrell calling Toney "STD" would be perhaps the best thing ever, I think the Rockets might take a pass.
