Man, I hope the players never read these threads with topic titles like this. Where's the humanity. Sheesh. You'd make a great Fortune 500 CEO.
Scola is by no means injury prone and I do think that he's gonna give you a few more solid years without major injuries. Still the Rockets should trade him while he still has some trade value. For a rebuilding team his contract is not going to help.
It also depends what we got him for. You do not want to throw away your star player just for saving money. But it is not crazy thought since the history of yao. Buy low and sell high.
The OP is right, i dont why so many of you are angry. The dude is 30, and having knee injuries If we dont move him now, and he suffers another injury, we are stuck with this bad contract. Im all for moving K-Mart as well We need to stockpile as many picks as possible
Oh, it's satirical alright ....just not in the way OP meant it.... Carl, you've always struck me as a pretty level headed dude, but I think you're letting those emotions get the best of you on this one.
Depends whether the picks have injury concerns. If so, we need to trade these picks ASAP for future picks that don't have injury concerns.
Itll be even funnier when Scola reaches rock bottom trade value wise again and we are still hovering around 500 two years from now.
Time to separate the wheat from the chaff. Clutchfans human intelligence meter... I mean sarcasm meter broken once again.
How many times must Scola be in trade talks even with the deadline over. You need a veteran on the team even with your so call youth movement with that said only PPat, Lee, Dragic are making the movement possible. You still need veterans on the team to make the transition work. Scola is a Rockets Lifer and if don't like or don't understand that go root for some other team.
How in the hell can you look into the future like that. These are human players that will eventually have an injury, some have them early in their careers like MJordan did and Oden you never know what can happen. I rather stick to what is fact and the fact is Scola will continue to be a good player that you can count out when healthy to be out there competing every night with all out effort.
