I just want to add one thing. I think the only way this guy might have a chance for the rest of his career particularly be productive and stay on the court in the post season are teams willing to take a chance of signing him with the full knowledge they can only play him for half a season right off the allstar break and into the post season -if they make it. This guy cannot take 82 games plus playoffs -his bones are made of glass. Forget about playing him 30 mins he will still be susceptible to fractures just by the increase impact of playing 82 plus games. Teams with champ prospects willing to play him 1/2 season, anyone? thought no . . .

This isn't the time to turn on Yao, this is the time to stand with him in support, he's given us his all and we can give him our support in return.

We can let Morey consider all things later this summer...

Right now I believe all Rocket fans just need to accept that Yao has injury problems due to his size and lets remember this series is not over..... yet. :)

This is Yao's third consecutive season that ended because of a fractured bone.

    Not good at all.

As long as they don't give yao a max contract. It will be like the elton brand contract. Its no longer a matter of if yao gets hurt it is when.

First when McGrady gets hurt, everyone says trade him. Now Yao gets hurt and everyone says trade him. It's not really unusual for Houston fans to feel this way because of the constant disappointments each year due to injury of one of our superstars. Especially this year when the Rockets looked like a CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM, but once again fell to injury. First McGrady, then Deke, now Yao, I wouldn't be suprised if another player gets hurt. Don't forget Landry getting shot too. Man how many black cats walked across Toyota Center this year..

2nd. 3 years ago it was the Utah Jazz that ended Yao's season.

The Magic gave Rashard Lewis the max, and that was a stupid decision.

I wouldn't be surprised if a team with a great wingman, like Milwaukee with Redd, or Miami, with Wade (assuming they resign him) give Yao the max.

He's still the best center in the league. Yao Ming needs to go to an eastern conference team.

Is this a "stress fracture" like last season? Or did it happen in a freak moment during game 3?

his body is just too big.
    it can't support his feet/legs.

i really hope the rockets could be injury free next season.
honestly i do. it hurts watching them play without yao or tmac or artest or whoever it may be.

I disagree. I think the only thing Yao's injuries have done is lower his stock value for 2010. Im pretty sure Houston will try and resign Yao unless some other team is willing to overpay.

Unfreaking believable. You quit on your Hero already. Just remember how you feel about him 3 days ago when we rode him to the win, and the rocky comeback. And now you throw him under the bus. I will be really careful with some you if we are in the same foxhole. I will probably get rid of some of yall first before you kill me.

I think the rocket should still resign Yao, but not with a max contract, around 10 M. I do not think Yao will ask lots of money due to his broken foot every year. The rocket can use another part of money to sign another good player, and use Yao as backup center. Either ways, the rockets have a problem to have a great player to build around.

One thing's for sure: he's not worth the money he's getting paid.

He probably will get paid max elsewhere for 10M that has better chance getting a ring as of right now.

Those are bad contracts and if you have too many of them your franchise will suck. Look at elton brand and jermaine o'neal. I think the andrew bynum contract will be bad too. First of all he isn't that great to start out with and he gets hurt all the time. I would give 12 mil a year, but giving him 30 mil when you know he will be hurt is not something a smart franchise can do.

Do you think Laker can beat us without KOBE?
    Shame on you.
