I think it's time we bring up Canaan and Cov and see what they have. I'm sure they've been in the D League long enough to know enough of the offense to replace Brooks and Brewer on the bench. Who knows if they can make an impact or not.

P.S. I have no idea the rules on when players can be brought up from the D League. But still. We need a spark off the bench.

Garcia and Casspi not making threes, might as well give these guys a chance.

Garcia just brings nothing if his 3 ball is not falling.

no, just no. The guys need more experience together. Can't just suddenly let rookies into the rotation...

    1. Harden as the playmaker is not going to cut it.

    2. Bev as the playmaker is not going to cut it.

    3. Lin as the playmaker, see 1

I just watched their last game against Reno (something a lot of you guys need to do, go support the vipers their fun to watch) and from what I saw they won't be a big enough upgrade over for Canaan: brooks, bev (lin when healthy) or Covington: parsons, cassipi, jones, smith if he plays the four.

Both are streaky and esp Canaan needs the ball to be effective which would be hard on this rockets team with ball handlers like James and jermeny in the first and second units respectively.

I don't think it's so much that Canaan needs the ball to be effective but rather the TEAM needs Canaan to have the ball for the TEAM to be effective. With a player as dynamic as Canaan on the floor it's absurd to suggest pushing him off to the corner and taking the ball out of his hands.

Canaan isn't a spot shooter who can run off screens to get open, he isn't super quick or having elite agility, he needs to ball with pick and rolls to be effective.

I don't think Canaan fits well into this team with his CURRENT skill set and morey always chooses best value at the draft table so I'm sure they will make it work. But right now I don't see him improving this team at all.

Bima has my thinking in a response to one of my tweets

@BimaThug: @dewah07 Players ahead of Canaan (Beverley, Brooks) & Covington (Parsons, Jones, D-Mo, Brewer) are still playing. No need at this time.

If they are NBA-ready they would've been called up already. Remember how Beverley only played a couple games in the D-league before being called up?

You can only dress 13 players per game, meaning you'll need to put 2 players on the inactive list if you want to play Canaan and Covington.

Damn phone. I was saying Brooks has had some good games. We need to get healthy first before we start looking to the D-League.

No, we just need Lin back. As much as his fanboys hate to admit it, Brooks is garbage.

Yes, bring Cannan back, trade Lin for some 2nd round picks. Problem solved.

Canaan for our starting Point Guard.
Bev. can play a Defensive Guard, when needed,
Lin can play back up Shooting Guard.Y
