I get that Tari and Bari our out, but to tonight’s game showcases how flawed this roster is. There appears to be very little accountability for Stone being a below average GM who has yet to prove that he can actually put a balanced roster on the floor.
Where's the receipts here? Stone set on reunion with Harden? Or was he just open to it? Y'all are such jokers.
The biggest mistake Stone made was not getting players of value in the Harden deal. OKC got 5 first round picks and 2 swaps plus SGA for Paul George, Stone completely fumbled the trade getting guys he essentially gave away for free. Then he is given an opportunity to trade for a 23 year old SGA for the #2, and instead goes with Jalen Green. The people saying this is part of some long term plan, OKC was able to make a significant leap this year after tanking a bit. They did it the right way, Being able to not just dismantle a contending team and collect assets, but also tank 3 full years is not common to even have the opportunity to do.
None of those are substantiated since when was SGA available for 2nd pick? Nobody even knew Magic was taking Paolo lol.
But but but he drafted Alparen and discovered Tate! Stone's a joke just like this flawed roster. Jabari and Tari arent changing anything. They would have still lost to the 12 win Blazers and blown out by the damn Nets. Trades need to happen for anyone takes this team seriously
He’s a horrible GM that doesn’t know **** about basketball. Every basketball team needs size and shooters. This team has neither
Rockets got 4 firsts and 4 swaps from the Harden deal, that already resulted in Tari Eason and a top 10 pick next year. Harden was wearing a fat suit and demanding to get traded that's a far different situation than Paul George. Doesn't seem like understand fully what happened.
OKC started their rebuild around the same time, and are at the top of the conference. PG asked to go to the Clippers, he specifically picked one team. Harden provided more options than PG. Philly, BKN, etc.
So what? So everybody needs to be measured hy OKc otherwise they done a poor job? OKc did one of the best rebuild jobs in history that's like your wife asking why aren't you as rich as Bill Gates. How many other teams did a 3 yr rebuild and now are at the top of the conference?
The issues with Harden are also on Stone for letting it boil over to that point. He hired Silas which Harden did not want, he brought in some trash players and Harden saw it and reacted the way he did. That is on stone. Stone will hold onto players and destroy their value.
Harden already told Westbrook he was leaving even before the season started. Stone was hired Oct 15, Silas was hired Oct 30. You think it just takes 15 days to hire a coach? So Stone is at fault before he even got the job? Wtf.
That proves my point, they were not trying to trade Harden, they were holding on to hopes he would want to stay, even though he wanted to leave since the summer. Stone was not hired to a new org, he was promoted and that transition was already starting before it was made public. That is the reason he even put the fat suit on, management was not listening.
It seems like this is the thread to b**** and moan after every loss without any rhyme or reason whether its complaining Rox aren't title contenders after 3 yrs, team has no 3 pt shooters (even if 5 guys literally shooting above league average), Stone didn't get SGA etc.
How does that prove your point when you said Stones hires is what drove Harden away? So now you admit Harden wanted to leave in the summer even before Stone got hired? So how did that prove your point when it literally contradicts your point?
Not really. Remember? Westbrook as a rocket? They are a full 2 seasons ahead. We didn't have an offseason of tanking until 2021. They were trying to win with Wood, Westbrook, and Harden. They also had 2 stars get them picks, not just one... they were also able to flip Paul...
You just made that up, lol never said stones hire drove harden away? You seem to have issues with reading comprehension if that is what you got out of that. Maybe go back and read it a little slower this time. Where did I say that he was driven away cuz of stone? If you really struggle that much with reading comprehension to the point you completely make up a statement, it is hard to take anything you say seriously.
