People need to start realising this loser coach is going to stay here, because we have a loser owner who admits he doesn't want a winning product. Silas is a Tilman lacky and will stay, because no coach worth their salt would put up with Tilman's trash. Or CEO. Or GM. Or star player. Etc etc etc.
Can we get high draft picks by losing by 5 pts instead of 10+? Can we lose while still showing ANY RESEMBLANCE OF OFFENSIVE SYSTEM?
I dont seem to understand where Tilman flame is coming from. We have war in Europe, coronavirus and financial market about crash. Dude just casualy bought out Wall so KPJ and Lucas with Silas can experiment whatever they hell they doing, bought new plane. Im sure when it makes sense he will spend his share. Hard to spend on this bum ass team and i doubt any owner invests that much in any team that is not in the position to win
I mean, it would've made sense to spend to ensure the 65 win team he inherited would continue to contend, I would've thought. This bum ass team is 100% his own doing.
no not really, your record will usually correlate very strongly with your point differential, so if you're only at -5 you're not gonna be one of the worst teams. Not really possible to intentionally lose close
I mean this team was done after CP injury and conflict with Harden anyway. Tilman just sold high and now we control Brooklyn picks which will be great investment
Absolutely can’t count the first year with Harden/Westbrook. Last year we were a very young, raw team trying to find an identity. Green came on the second half and everyone but Garuba showed individual promise by the end of the season, despite heavy losses. We then add a fairly raw, young talent this year and he’s had some tremendous blocks, shown promise as a perimeter defender and outside shooter, but is clearly still a step behind most the time as he adjusts to the speed/size of NBA — like almost every top rookie for at least the first several weeks of season 1. I’m not saying Silas shouldn’t be under pressure by end of year, but for now, it’s way too early to pull plug. It’s effectively year 2 with relative babies on the court.
I'll put it this way. If by the end of the season there is no defined offensive system, it's time for him to go.
LOL ten years into the process people gonna keep making excuses for this ignorant nepotist loser, lover of wall, kpj, oladipo, and similar ballhoging and chucking statpadders......
How much of it is “this is the new style of nba basketball” vs “we don’t run plays and need a new coach”. Rockets are definitely playing YMCA ball these days.
Silas is really pissing me off. I don’t mind losing IF our young players are developing, they’re implementing offensive and defensive systems that show improvement and the coaching looks like he has a clue with rotations in furtherance of the first 2 items. None of that is happening. JG looks like he is regressing. Jabari is not getting the ball where is comfortable to contribute. Sengun and Tari are not being used properly and they’re the best +- players on the team. The lack of minutes Tari is getting is criminally incompetent. Long story short Silas sucks and is doing long term damage to the development of this team. Detroit beat the Warriors and look a lot better than we do. He needs to be McHaled if we continue down this path and have 1 win or 2 wins in the first 15 to 20 games like we did last year. Give Abdelfattah a chance to prove himself as an interim coach.
In today's news Detroit is now being praised and regarded as doing it right, after being laughed at literally every game prior to last night @Reeko Lets see how long this Detroit praise lasts. one week is probably being generous, after they lose games this week
